hanks, was looking at the Creator 310+, lot cheaper than the VW code readers, will look at the 3 litre, advice very helpful, in no rush so can wait for something that looks decent

If you had been looking at a 2 litre I wouldn't rule out a 2.5i as 3 litres tend to have a price premium. Although the 3 litres do have a 6 speed gearbox and electric seats with driver's memory as standard if either of those matter.

Subject to budget a 2.5Si facelift has performance somewhere between the 2.5 and 3 litre pre-facelifts. Facelifts came with SE or Sport trim so if you find a Sport it will have the M-Sport seats that tend to sell for between £600 and £800 a pair. Just avoid the 2.5i facelift as it has similar power to a pre-facelift 2.2i.

And don't worry too much about mileage, all the 6 cylinder engines cope easily with 6 figure mileages.

Bear in mind BMW were a bit miserly with equipment so things like Cruise, heated seats, Xenons, rear parking sensors, Multi-Function Steering Wheel and cup-holders were all on the options list

I know you're not Zedebee I love it, best sound track on any car I've owned, even the MGB. I know it's only a car but I'm dreading the day I have to get rid of it because of old age. Me or the car :rofl:
