Z4 Daily Driver?

2 years as d.d. Like it has already been said, why have a zed and drive another car?. I suppose the best compromise would be a newer z4 as your garage queen?

Just picked mine up yesterday and hoping to use it as a daily driver...need to learn how to get in and out more elegantly though

Yep!

Use mine for everything from commuting & shopping, to weekend hoons, track days & 'Ring trips.

Do about 25k a year in mine, and have not had anything go wrong that was not covered by the Mondial warranty. The only costs have been the normal outgoings for brakes (1 set every 2 years), tyres (1 set rears every year, 1 set fronts every 2 years), petrol, insurance, VED, scheduled maintenance (1 oil service & 1 inspection every year), etc.

yep started commuting later in my career so might as well enjoy it, running on winter rubber at the moment.

Yes i do 50 mile round trip. Boring though 90% motorway. Nice comfortable drive and i can average 41mpg at the end of the journey. So then i can blast it around on my days off

My mates just chopping in his E85 3.0si, his daily driver tomorrow for a 635d coupe. He's already missing it and it's not gone.

Other half sold her car couple of years back & now permanently acquired my Quattro, so gets used for a daily commute 25 min each way on a motorway... just enough to properly warm her up

Struggle getting my drum kit in it at the weekends but hey you can't have everything !!!!!

Daily driver here too - for my 2 mile commute to work Sometimes in the evening, I will drive past my house, because my commute is so short and I'm not satisfied!

Wish it was. But mines a driveway queen, especially in the winter months. Bought it last April and only done about 1000 miles in the last 10 months! Average 100 miles a month!

Yep daily hear as well but use my E46 330 sport vert for premium comfort trips : ) My Z4 is no garage queen lol

I'm using mine as a DD as well. Mine's a 30 mile commute. Did a longer trip of 90 miles yesterday and had the MPG creep up over 31.

I use my 05 3.0i every day, I have been very tempted by an M, but you then need to look at mileage and second cars and all that crap, perhaps the straight 3ltr is a good choice for most enjoyment everyday without the silly expense !

Best I did was a 375 tank on around 50l, possible to do more, but hey its all about smiles per gallon

Mine is a DD, I couldn't t think of anything worse than owning a decent motor and not using it all the time.

If you have it use it, don't let it become an ornament!!

No mines a weekend toy my DD is an old 525d with 145k on the clock
Makes the Z feel a bit more special when I do drive it
