Modern cars are phenomenal in their responses to collisions.
Its interesting that the E85 gets 4 stars and the E89 3 stars, but when you google to get the detailed report the checks were upgraded in the 2015 tests and include safety features like emergency brake assist and lane change assist which E91 doesn't have so it gets scored down. In terms of injury it is slightly better than E85.
