Z4 Coupe

I got no road tax with mine. Dealer said it was policy not to sell with any "remaining" road tax - I had to start with a fresh 12 months. Got my tax disk of my p/x to send back to the dvla for a refund
 
Doesn't AUC gurantee the car to be leagal on the road i.e. taxed & MOTed? My dealer taxed it for 6 month for this reason.
 
Sorry it only says 12 month MOT cover! I think it must have been the dealership policy rather then BMW
 
If your taking an extended BMW warranty even with a gap between the manufacturers running out and you wanting to take out 12 months cover (eg if buying an 06 plate car) what criteria does your car have to meet? Must it have had any servicing done at BMW, do they have to inspect it prior to giving you the warranty etc?
 
Sorry to hijack the thread but quick question. I have a silver 2006 Z4 Coupe. It is the 3.0Si sport spec with all the toys and is a manual. I also have added an OEM Carbon diffuser and the small OEM Carbon rear spoiler which really improve the looks and I love the car. 8)
However a friend in the trade has a 2006 Z4 M Roadster with similar mileage and rang me this week asking if I would like to trade (with some money going his way of course). He hasn’t spoken about how much but has asked me to come down on Saturday morning to discuss. My initial answer to him was No, not interested in a roadster, prefer my Coupe.

I have owned Z3MCoupes in the past and loved their looks. And I just love the looks of the Z4 Coupe too. What I am thinking is even if my friend offers me a good deal on an exchange, I am thinking I will would always miss the look of my coupe & regret exchanging. Would most Coupe owners agree?
 
Breadvan_Matt, stick with the coupe definately, don't give in to the roadster brigade

If you change to a Z4MC that is perfectly ok

Are the Servicing intervals just whenever the car states it needs a service or must it be serviced at least every 2 years regardless of mileage the car is indicating is left to the next service?

I ask because there is a couple of AT that seem to be around 3yrs old and have only been serviced for the 1st time within the last few thousand miles and not mid 2009 when they are 2yrs old.
 
The longest time between servicing is 2 years if it doesnt meet the mileage requirement. Mine was serviced at 2 years and will be again at 4.
 
Yes, definitely! It MUST be serviced every 2 years or when indicated by the service indicator. Roughly 15,000 miles between services is expected (although mine was at 18-19,000)
 
Cheers all, i was 99% sure that was the case. There is one Z4C for sale on PH and its in the village near where i work, only thing is it hasnt had the 1st service and its a number of months over 2yrs old. Owner said he was told by BMW that it was when the car said it needed a service, i did question his thinking on that.

I've now noticed at least 3 others that say its just been serviced for the first time and they are 3 years old! I'd be considering them all as well! :roll:
 
Another one, brake fluid (on the M at least but might all be the same?) is every 2 years?
So an 07 plate should have had one in 09 sometime....do BMW when selling auc cars ever do a brake fluid change early or is there an additional one required for an inspection 1 or 2 for example?
