Obviously I don't know what other issues this car might have, but on the face of it the only issue this car has is the mileage.. this poor car only has 100k to 150k miles (or 250k?) left in the engine.

Im not sure if this post is supposed to be ironic, comedic or serious?

Perhaps you could clarify, because one thing it isn’t is accurate.

That looks real nice. Suspect it won't hang around long at under £5k. GLWTS

Cheers, market isn’t great at mo so not holding my breath and not in need of selling it just getting a bit more organised and as I mentioned I fancy an auto in the future

Yeah I thought it was an odd post and couldn’t understand the point of it… GLWS OP.

I'd say a good price for a coupe, I have my Auto Roadster up for sale with 130K miles.

Market does seem flat, by the lack of interest I'm getting. That and I believe people expectation are off, wanting no risk, no faults on what basically is near 20 year old car with miles. They all will want looking after, fixing, but everything is fixable. Other wise go buy a nearly new hatchback with a warranty from a dealer!

We are staring at future of soulless EV's and speed limiters and nanny state cars that we don't actually drive.... These cars should cherished and maintained.

It was supposed to be a joke but with a serious point. The only issue this car has (assuming that the car is as good in person as it looks in the ad) is the mileage. And given it has an N52 engine that means it is likely to have 100k to 150k - and maybe much more - left in that engine. At 5k a year mileage the car has 20-30 years or more left in it!!!
Agree with you, if the car is in generally good condition it could last many years to come if maintained correctly, it’s done no more than 2,000 miles in the last 12 months, if I wasn’t working in Slovenia so having to take my van I would drive down in the zed without a second thought and that is 2,200 miles

Very interested in this, but my timelines aren’t quite lining up with yours unfortunately (still pulling funds together until next month). But I’m down the road from you in York, so if this is still available when you’re back from your time away, let me know.

The biggest issue I see is the variance between what people think is acceptable or good condition for the year. A lot of sellers describe their cars as good condition for the age, but are in poor condition. They need a lot of money spent on them to fix the faults.

Cars like the Z4 are often owned by enthusiasts. I think there is an expectation they would be looked after better.

The prices people are asking for Z4 at the moment is crazy. If a seller is asking strong money the car should be free from faults. If they aren't willing to fix faults they should be honest about the faults and price the car accordingly, or sell the car to trade with margin to fix the faults.

Hi Unitedleeds1919 - sorry you had no luck with this. Am I OK to reach out to you should I get my finances sorted in the near future or have you decided not to sell?
