Hi folks,

I recently bought a z4 coupe which im delighted with, in its previous life someone reveresed into the passenger door in a carpark, i have an insurance repair invoice for £1,800 includinga replacement door skin and painting, job is a good one. however that wing, where it meets the bonnet at the top near the windscreen, sits a little high, it cannot be corrected by adjusting the bonnet as it always sits high at the top, there is maybe 2mm in it.

i assume this is as a result of the impact on the door? is there anything i can do myself to adjust the wing?

thanks in advance.

A lot of Zeds panels never fitted properly out of the factory, pop it in to your local BMW bodyshop and ask them if it was indeed caused by the accident/repair - if it was is the work covered by a repair guarentee?

Have you a photo of the seam/panel?

All work carried out(if its a BMW dealer or authorised) must have a 3yr warranty on them. So check it out with the invoice and then with your dealer who would be able to assist.
