Z4 Coupe Washer bottle warning light wont go off.

Hi,

My washer bottle warning light has been on on the dash since I bought my car. I thought it was just the fluid level but I've brimmed it and its still on.

Any idea why?

AFAIK all Z4's have the washer fluid level light. See this thread, with pictures

If you look at that thread you can see the instrument panels are different, mine hasnt got it I know as I ran out once and no light

Obviously I'm not making it up guys, come on... Its a symbol of a windscreen with a wiper and fluid squirting up, and it says in the manual 'check washer fluid'.

End of debate......

Thing is though, I was actually looking for some constructive help here rather than a debate so to get back to the point, does anyone know why the light is still on???????

Ok, so, next question is where is the sensor??? All I've got at the washer bottle are the two motors

Part 8 is listed as being a switch, could that be it?

I've just replaced mine, it's easily accessible through the fog light hole, but to no avail. My local garage suspects a wiring issue.

This used to happen on my tt on that the sensor would get oxidised a simple scrap of the probe fixed it , it may be the same i dont know as i havent checked but maybe worth a go ? sorry if its no help
