Z4 Coupe target discount

I's say now you'd be looking at 8% max, you used to be able to get more but BMW have reined in discounts to try and firm up residuals a bit.

Try autoebid or coast2coastcars for a quote, then use it to beat the dealer with :)

I agree with the previous posts about getting one thats 6-12 months old - whole heartedly.

I got my September 07 Z4 Coupe Sport last week with 800 miles on her and she's like new! She's saphire black and fully specked with 108's. All together would have cost £37'500. I got her for £26'750 after some negotiating. A full £11k off and its new!

Go onto BMW's website and go throgh the approved cars... It'll save you so much cash its silly.

Fantastic car too!

Agreed. If you get a good one 6-9 months old with under 5k on the clock it's impossible to tell apart from new but you will save thousands - probably ten grand or more. My local dealer has a fully loaded Imola Red M Roadster on the front. £46,500. I feel sorry for the sucker who gets sucked into that one even with a good discount; the BMW AUC website has a 2800 mile March 07 plate car with all the toys....for £32k. Before negotiation.

Thanks, folks.

I don't have any problem with saving money on a young low mileage car, but I can't find the spec I really want. I have an offer of 9% off a new SE, but may wait for something to turn up ex-demo.

No sooner posted than an ex-demo turned up with just over 400 miles. High spec - and more importantly, the right spec - for a good price. Apparently used by BMW to show off and not registered until now. Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh in a day or two. The wife is happy - she thinks it is for her.

Cheers.

Sounds just the ticket there, and the same situation i had when i got mine last week!

My car was registered to BMW but hadn't really had an owner, only a show room i think!

I was wary of getting an ex-demo (as a couple options came up and BMW were offering some good deals on the ex-demos) but was not keen as they had circa 6K on the clock and i knew they would have been driven inconsistently buy various test-pilots (like me when i test drove), if ya know what i mean! :driving:

Have you a link for the car on the used BMW site?

Cheers, SJ

That's how I bought mine. The car was basically new showroom condition. I bought my last car, MINI JCW S the same way. I used to buy new but I can't see the point now! I bought my Z4 for basically £11,000 off new, looking at the configurator on the BMW site! :)

I virtually lived on the BMW Approved Used configurator. You can save your spec and even get it to contact you when one comes in. Well worth the research  .

Picked up the Coupe last week that I found on the Approved User site. Sorry, Slackjack, but the link was taken off the same day that I called Williams in Liverpool and placed a deposit.

The car was described as a BMW "test car". Used apparently for static demos and photo shoots. It was manufactured in Dec. 06, registered in April 08, had a PDI in April 08 at a BMW service centre in Germany and had only done 430 miles. The spec priced up at £38K new and I bought for £26.5K. These cars apparently turn up in small numbers and move quickly. Not surprising for what is effectively a new car.

It's getting lots of admiring looks locally, since there aren't many coupes around here. It's completely up to expectations, and I even clocked 40mpg overall on the (gentle) 220 mile drive home.

Thanks for the encouragement to stick with the approved used car site.

Our deal for the black coupe gets even better - just got confirmation that the car has a 3 year BMW UK warranty from April 08. Dealer said that it was only 1yr used car warranty from the date we purchased in June.
