Another thing is that once you get on track and are up to speed other problems raise their head you might not have been aware of. Track driving puts more stress on the whole car that road driving simple doesn’t.
With one car I prepped for track I spent most of my budget on brakes and coilovers only to find out the cooling system wasn’t up to scratch and couldn’t do more than 4 fast laps. Plus once the clutch got too hot it was struggling to keep up.
If I’d have just done a track day stock I’d have sorted those bits first as stuff like that can ruin a day. Can still have fun on stock suspension
