HI

I bought a 2008 coupe 2 months ago, went to my car this morning to find some one had punched (Im guessing due to size) a dent into my rear panel drivers side.

Does any one know if the roadster rear panel drivers side (the panel which surrounds fuel cap) would fit a coupe shape? (as there a few been that are been breaked for parts in my colour)

Your help would be much appreciated

The part numbers are different between the coupe (41003427224) and roadster (41357151640), so I'd say no.

This could work for you Dazza....

I remember asking this the other way round, and IIRC they are different shapes because of the boot line of the roadster. I think the coupe's is straighter along the top ?

Bo||ox that's annoying it wont work.

No problem. Looks a decent price too. Cost in paint and you're away

As above, dent magician could be the way to go if not too bad.

I had a dent on the same panel and the guy went up through the rear wheel arch liner and "massaged" it out to perfection.

How much did the dent magician cost?

It's right on the crease of the panel so worried it might not look 100% (your thoughts) will get a pic up today.

The ebay panel is same colour as mine so might work out cheaper?

Where are you dazza ? If you're in Kent I have a guy did some dings in my car recently, great work.

With regard to cost, he took three small 5p sized dents out for £40. Not sure what a larger dent will cost, but I'd have thought £40-80.

I know a dent remover in Essex 'Sing the Ding' I think he must be related to Dynamo the Magician because he is so good
He came over to me in North Kent
I have his number if any one wants it

Yeah both would suit me I live in South East London.

Can you send me there details, how does my repair compare to yours do you reckon it will be a easy fix / not visible after?

Thanks

A good body shop would beat that out then put a thin skim of filler over it and paint. Probably cost about £150, I don't know if you'd save any money by buying another panel, unless you managed to find one the same colour.

I think a PDR will struggle due to the size. I would look at that avenue first though as it would be the cheapest option overall.

as the wings only bolt on, id buy a new wing, have it painted and do all the install/removal work myself....... the wings come off the z4m really easily...
