Hello from a relatively new Z4 owner. Bought a 3.0si Coupe 56 reg at the end of last year. Previous car was Elise 111R which was great but it was time for a change. I fell big time for the Z4 when I test drove it :driving: and bought it very shortly afterwards..photo below.

I'm based in Hertfordshire if there's any fellow owners about. I've only seen 2 other Coupe's in the 3 months I've had the car, so not sure how many there are out there.

Cheers all.

Thanks Red. Just settling into the car, not sure about mods yet. Open to suggestions though :D

I didn't realise how big the standard one is until I specifically looked at it following your suggestion. Having a look at the different stubbys online now...

srhutch - Mangowalk stubby ordered on ebay, my first mod! :D

martinb, hope to see you around, and yes, they sure are a hoot!!

Thanks gannet. About to take a drive along the A41 to stretch its legs a bit.

Will probably stop at the BMW dealership around Tring way for some car - 'eye candy' :)

Hello Roots

Another Herts Coupe here, only picked it up on Friday. I'll keep a look out for you, it's a rare treat to see a coupe on the road.

Great, will keep an eye out. On my drive today I saw four Z3's and one Z4 roadster which I'm going to post up in Spotted

Thanks all for the welcome. Just back from a drive to the shops to pick up lunch. Even these relatively mundane drives are fun in this car :D

Hi from one Noob to another!
Get mine tomorrow and its the same colour as yours and the same wheels lol
No need to worry tho' as I am based up in Yorkshire! I too am coming off the back of an Elise - how do you find the comparison?

Hi Loverobot,
ENJOY getting your Z4 tomorrow! Difficult to compare with the Elise, very different cars. Main thing I enjoy is that, same as with the Elise, it feels like an occasion to drive the Z4.

I have to say I do feel somewhat guilty when I drive the Z4 in this wet weather with the electronics switched on and I can feel the electronics sorting out the amount of power etc .... but it sure is a much more relaxing drive. The extra torque makes the car feel much more powerful than the Elise although in a 0-62 the 111R should be quicker (assuming you don't mind buying clutches).

If I had the financial resources I'd have kept the Elise for track days and use the Z day by day. Having said that, I haven't tried the Z4 on the track yet (planned for Spring, probably Snetterton) and it might surprise me.

I'd be interested to hear your observations when you get yours.

Cheers
