Z4 coupe for sale

I'd change the description of the thread to 'Wrecked Z4MC for £5500' !!

What a sad state to see an M Coupe in. Don't think it's worth £4k let alone £5.5k

I started off thinking 12k...then 8k...then they mentioned there's no gearbox and the engine's spat a piston...£5,000 would be plenty I think!

It’s a lot of money for a shell.

Most of the value would be in selling the Schnitzer bits and panels.

Sadly what's left of that is an utter shed.

Might well be an original ac schnizer car but if every panel on it is fucked, no gearbox no diff no sears, and a knackered engine it'll take a comfortable 10k to get it even vaguely presentable again. My engine rebuild from spinning a bearing is looking to run to approx 7k, so rebuilding that with a new block is going to be likely more, then seats, gearbox, diff, interior/dash, and unit.....!

Best thing to do would be to break it. There's few k in the engine top end if it is a csl top end, and stuff like the alloys and bonnet and carbon fibre door trims etc.!

I'm seeing a 1-1.5k shell, maybe the special edition bit adds something that I'm missing.

It needs stripping back and rebuilding from almost a bare shell to be sure nothing critical is missing, damaged or loose. There will be parts that are hard to get, there's the massive amount of time it needs. And ultimately, they aren't really that desirable in the grand scheme of things. So even if they find somebody who wants to spend the thousands it needs to make it just drivable, is it even worth it?

The only thing it's got going for it is the mileage, if you could find the oily bits cheap, and you have a mate with a body shop, there might just be a bit of profit in it.

Fair play to DW for not pretending it was anything other than what it is.

But sadly it's just a tragic mess and the price seems way too ambitious given the lack of running gear and the state of the bits that are there.

I just hope someone brave can save it - after all there aren't too many RHD M Coupes around!

Wow,a lot of money indeed, for a shell needing a full £3kmspent on it at a body shop, I would reckon?

FYI, its now sold ! I actually tried to buy this last night and was in comms with Phil, he seems a decent bloke, I actually fancied this as a project and looked a good base, but he notified me early this morning someone paid the full amount late last night!

No doubt will see this up for sale for a lot more in the future 😔 I’ll keep telling myself it was beyond repair to make me feel better!

Plus an engine rebuild, plus a dash (unless you wanted to keep it off road).

Engine, gearbox, diff, driveshafts, complete wiring loom, half the suspension (to replace the bits they stole for the “V10 M3”), entire interior...
The colour looks great though :D
