Z4 coupe fan.

I have been looking at Z4 coupes for quite a while now. Presently driving an Alfa 159 sport wagon but really want an E86 coupe. Only have around £6000 to spend. Not afraid of high mileage as I only do about 2000 miles a year anyway. My only concern is getting in and out of it lol. I am 58 and physically fit so can’t see it being a problem, but have never even sat in one. I have seen a nice silver one in Grays area of London with 160000 miles on it for £4800. Looks well looked after. But I live in Northern Ireland.

An E86 is a great choice, but you really need to find one to see how you get on getting in and out. Are there any for sale in NI you could try?
 
Hasn’t been any for a while. Have had a few coupes in the past, 911/997 / boxster, etc, can’t see it being any worse than that. Just have fallen in love with the look of them. It would be a second car, as my wife drives our main vehicle. So really only for me to get to and from work with the odd run about. So looks like a run to England. But would want to be sure it was right before travelling.

As your budget is at the lower end of asking prices, it may be tricky to find a good one without seeing a few.

Maybe put a shout out to the forum if you find ones you like. There are members everywhere in the UK and it's highly possible there will be people willing to look at them for you in the first instance. This is a very friendly and helpful forum!

I did it with a Z3 I bought. It worked out well.
 
Yea. That is an idea. Still interested in silver one in London. BK07ZWG. It was damaged cat S. but repaired.
 
Ian, if you can get yourself over to Bangor, you can try and sit in mine. Its not for sale, certainly not for £6K, but would give you an idea of what to expect
