Z4 Coupe Bumper alignment...is this normal?

From these pictures does it look like the bumper alignment on my Z4 is ok?

Seems unusual that the reflector in the front bumper does not quite line up with the wheel arch on both sides, hoping its not had a front end ding!

Doesn't look right, although i don't have side reflectors so can't be sure

However the retaining clips only allow the bumper to be attached in a specific position, so they would be damaged or 'pushed back' if it had been in a front bump

I do have side reflectors and confirm it's not fitted correctly. Mine are a near smooth continuous curve.
Less to do with a bump than just aligning everything when fitting the bumper cover.

Thanks for that, you dont think its the sign of a shunt then? Guessing a bodyshop job to align the bumper then?

Take the bumper off at that side and re-align yourself

It may be that he front bumper has been then off for any number of reasons.... swapped headlamp, respray for stone chipping etc. wouldn't rule out a minor ding though. A parking shunt would push it back that far....

Yup, there's a great bumper removal guide on here in the how-to section that I used just last week when I replaced the side clips. They can be broken if you don't take care, but if you read the whole thread then you'll pock up the added tips about lifting before pulling etc. - I managed it, and I am a cack-handed b'strd You may find the clips are cracked - mine were in a shocking state (not had a chance to post pics yet though). However yours look nice and straight / tight so as said it is probably just alignment.

I'll take a look at the bumper removal thread, thanks for that! Doesn't sound too drastic and hopefully just needs a bit of adjustment and not the sign of a prang in the past!

Like others have said,lots of reasons bumper could have been off,just needs adjustment
