Z4 Coupe - Advice on Price

First I hope this post doesn't break any forum rules. Is it does please let me know.

I'm going to be selling my Z4 Coupe for no other reason that I don't use it anywhere near enough; about 300 miles a year.

I want to price it correctly and would appreciate your advice on the matter with a view to a realistic sale. Also other than here where best to advertise, not eBay?

Very briefly the car is a 2006 manual with approx 52700 miles and I'm the fifth owner. It's a BMW individual car in Phoenix Yellow and one of only six manuals with this colour and interior ever built by BMW. Some might say there is a good reason for that and I appreciate it won't appeal to all,,, You can find the car on here and the vin is F68666 which I like

It has two keys, all the owners books and stamped up service history from independent garages. As far as I'm aware the car is standard although I have added the Individual 152 wheels which are the standard fitment and the Individual kick plates.

Many thanks

Chris

That mileage in good condition, with a unique colour combination? You’re not going to increase the audience by reducing the price, but you may get a premium from someone looking for something a bit different. Market seems to be £11-£12k for a Sport depending on spec, with some dealers seeking £14k+.

Start it at £13k if you're looking to sell on here.

idej_z4 has it about right.

dont discount ebay as a place to advertise... a classified ad is reasonably priced, and you can write a good clear advert, unlike autotrader which mashes everything together.

I'd agree that around £13k would be right.

You say the service history is up to date, do you know when Inspection II was last done (i.e. spark plugs)?

Thanks for the feedback which is very helpful. With regards the question about servicing the last Inspection 2 was done in April 17 at 50171 miles. Last service was Inspection 1 in Nov 19 at 52153.

Weather is supposed to better this week so I hope to be able to get out and take some decent pictures at the weekend.

I think the price has been pretty well covered.

But that's a really rare example, although as the OP says it may not appeal to everyone - he just needs to find the right person which may take a little while.

Shame he needs to sell, but it's understandable if it is hardly getting any use.

Anyway I wish him well with the sale. Hopefully to someone on here!

I wish mine was that colour! tbh I dont think you will have trouble finding someone who wants it!
look forward to seeing the full for sale post!

Okay - with that in mind, it might be due its first Inspection II (if previous servicing has been mileage based only) which is a not insignificant cost to the new owner

Inspections are mileage based only - unless you feel like over-servicing them.

Oil services, brake fluid, coolant and mobility kit are mostly time-based. Oil & air filter will degrade with age, and plugs might degrade with lack of use.

At most, it’s due an oil service at the end of the year
