Z4 Coupe 3.0si

Hi guys,

Looking for a 3.0si coupe,
Ideally it needs to have less than 80k miles, high spec so Nav, heated seats, comfort pack, parking sensors etc. Not too worried if it needs a bit of work as long as it’s not a new engine
Not worried about colour either, unless it’s bright red as I’m not so fussed about that.
However whatever you have feel free to show me as I may be interested still!
I do have a 2012 328i M sport for sale so if anyone would be interested in swapping and possibly cash my way that’s always an option! (Can provide pictures and details)

Thanks for having a read, look forward to seeing all your cars.

Cheers!

Hi there.

When I was looking for mine just a few months ago I quickly realised that my "spec" wish list was severely limiting my market as there are so few of these vehicles around.
So , I eventually decided I had to have a sport model and I also didn't want Red . Apart from this I concentrated on sub 100,000 miles and service history. My advice would be to not worry about things like Sat-Nav (which in my opinion clutters up the dash and is a dated piece of tech anyway ), heated seats , etc. Mine does have parking sensors though and I do find them extremely useful.
Good luck in your search !

Hi and welcome to the forum.

As baconJazz said, Sat Nav over a decade old isn't exactly too useful!

Just bear in mind that the UK only got just over 3,000 3.0Si Coupes, and depending on whether you want a Sport or an SE, auto or manual the numbers that might appeal to you drop away quite quickly!

Then add the mileage into the mix (bearing in mind they are all over a decade old now) and specific extras and you are going to find you choices severely limited among those that are for sale at any one time.

Anyway, happy hunting.

Surely 300 not 3000?

No, it was 3,000 - here's a link to the database a forum member put together in case you have some time to spare! http://perso.numericable.fr/tonyz4c/index30si.html

So out of 3000 there's only 300 left? Or am I totally barking?

1598 manual and 1998 auto for the UK market.

Actually I think those numbers (1598 manual and 1998 auto) may include the 3.0Si Roadster - I'm getting just 2,189 Coupes, with 1,596 manuals and 593 autos for the UK.

And if this mileage poll of E85/86 mileages on forum members' cars is representative, only 54% seem to have done less than 80K miles. https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=103195&start=90

Which does impose some limitations!

Hmm......re-checked the Wiki page and it defiantly states Coupes @ 1598 manual and 1998 auto for UK market......(?)

Hi Adam, did you get fixed up.?. I might be considering selling my auto coupe, flappy baddies etc.. Got all the whistles and bells, sat nav, heated electric seats, parking sensors etc. Ruby black paintwork. 52,000 miles, service history, good alloys etc.

Hi dude, sorry I’ve only just seen this!!

I didn’t get a Z4 in the end, a change of job meant my daily mileage has gone up a tonne, and I didn’t wanna pile a load of miles on a low mileage coupe! I ended up buying a E36 328is with 155,000 miles, not quite a Z4 and it’s a bit of a love/hate relationship but it does the job for now
It’s great when it works, other times I’d happily drive it off a cliff :headbang:

A Z4 is still on the cards for me, just not yet! Did you sell yours in the end?
