Z4 Coupe 3.0si Dashboard Airbags and side airbags what ohm resistor to clear airbag light

I have recently stripped my car ready for a rollcage to be put in and need to know what ohm resistor is needed blank off the connectors for the airbag lights and to prevent this firing in the event of a crash.

Alternatively does anyone know if the entire module can be removed along with all the airbags and still be driveable and the car fully functional?

pull everything, car drives fine.. just make sure you know what your pulling. youll get a red airbag light on the dash.

Interesting so Cambus won't interfere with the car then and it'll drive fine? Can I even remove the airbag module?

That said, you didn't mention anything about the pre-tensioners.. not sure how it works if you leave these in. :tumbleweed:

These will be coming out too! So it will work with the pretensioners out but not sure if itll work with them in?

nfi, I haven't had pre-tensioners in my car for years. I remember my code reader used to complain about pre-tensioners years ago. what ever you remove/pull, id suggest you do it methodically and with a wiring diagram in hand. Id also recommend a start after you disconnect something, to prevent a no start situ. (obviously have the battery disconnected while removing modules/plugs/ wiring.)

Yo Vanne to revive an old thread, when you disconnected airbag module and removed everything did your traction control still work? I have removed lots of things and the traction control no longer works but im not sure if its just a fuse, can you remember anything in particular that could remove the traction control?

Gday.. 2 things come to mind in terms of traction...

Steering angle and wheelspeed sensor...

I can't really answer your question as I am not sure if my traction is still active.. I hope so, but haven't done any Kms/miles yet to confirm.. I'll report back here when I do.

In addition to what Vanne said, yaw sensor is also required for functioning ABS+DSC. Get a scanner attached and check for:

- Steering angle sensor works (watch the angle change for left and right movements)
- All 4 wheelspeed sensors (watch for speed as you rotate each wheel)
- Yaw sensor is connected

If any of those are not OK then you'll see the trio of warning lights: brake, stability, and (something else!).
