Z4 Coupe 07. CD changer wiring

Is this standard in all Z4s whether there was a changer or not? I want to plug my iPod in and saw this cable on ebay that apparently plugs straight in

Also I think I misread it. It simply means the port at the back of the HU not cabling in the car. That makes a lot of sense! Not sure whether an AUX in makes more sense though, ie the DIY job seen in here
 
Rather than bother with an Aux-in for MP3 I've just put a few albums on to a CD in MP3 format, I managed to get 11 albums on a single CD.

You would need to plug that into the head unit, not the CD changer. It would be concerned that it has no resisters or whatever is needed to work correctly.
