I went to BMW Southbay to have my Z4 06 checked because of the brake pad indicator is on. This is my second time going to them after my first maintenance on my CPO z4 covered with 100K or 4 year "warranty". They replaced breakpads, rotors, timing belts and are all covered by warranty. In short, as expectation goes (these guys always find something somehow that is outside warranty), they found that my z4 coolant hoses are CRACKING (thats the word used) so they should replace them for the price of 1990 USD. REALLY!!!!
I have my car always parked in a garage and was not taken into extreme weather conditions...are these guys scamming me by saying that I need to replace this thing? Last time I went here they told me to replace fuel pump which they said is not covered, but when I asked another BMW they said it is ok. They also replaced four rotors even if my break pad indicator never came up.
What you guys think?
