Z4 CCFL on Ebay

The first picture (grey car) is of cj10jeeper’s car. Per their eBay ad, they are based in Hong Kong and have their own web site. The following link to their web site clearly shows the rest of the picture (which belongs to cj10jeeper) shown in their eBay.

The rings in the kit do not look like full circles and it would be interesting to see their "Instructions with Pictures" that accompanies the kit.

Here is cj10jeeper's how-to angel eye installation: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2953

What's the legality on that? You can't just go and take someone elses picture from the web??

CJ, I would have a word with them (if it bothers you that is).

They've even had the cheek to "TM" the pic!!!!

It's a pain in the arse actually. I stopped one company using my picture on Ebay but I'll send these guys an email

It bothers me not from so much from the use of the picture which is clearly stolen off this forum ( I can see my front garden, old wheeel and sort of wipers I had last year), but innocents buy these sort of inferior angel eyes and think they can just slot them in. Mine were using exact selected dimension size and diameter of ccfl tubes from Ozmium in the US and apart from which the headlights cant be opened to fit them

People just end up wasting their money

Tekarbon is an interesting company that claims to be able to open the headlights. I'm sure that someone a year or so back had a set done int he US where they claimed to open lights, but this is no way as easy as the old X5 and other BMW's where 2 minutes with a hot air gun and the light was open.

I assume the Tekarbom AE picture is generic and they use full circle lights. Would look wrong otherwise.

Peddy - I though about putting a watermark on but I have posted so many pictures and once out am sure they are copied, shared and stored by others.

If you use photobucket you can easily do it. It's worth doing it to the ones you think people might take in the future.

thx z4-forumers  or is it forumites? :D

if the vendor can't post their own pics, they r either inept or more likely haven't done their own instal to take pics of

n so my search 4 angel eyes continues...

Well said, that's my opinion too. That said, there is a couple of how-to's in regards to the angel eyes conversion on this and other z4 related sites. I believe someone earlier linked CJ's how-to. I do seem to recall someone with a z4 did a how-to that involved using an oven to get the glue loose enough to seperate the lense housing in order to make this fit. I do recall that they still had to buy a spare headlight assembly and either way I'm buzzed right now, so definitely don't try doing anything I said without a how-to.

Maybe I should just do like shipkiller and put a disclaimer saying just my opinion :? :P

I bet you they've nicked CJ's How-To and used that as the install guide!!

A guy on the Corrado forum had his full album used on the sale of an ebay car, when questioned the seller replied the pictures were "stock photos".
