Z4 camaraderie

Am in Bournemouth for the bank holiday weekend. Had to dash out to grab some emergency supplies earlier and crossed paths with another e85. It was like my biking days, the look and nod as we both acknowledged our choices.

Semi regular thing or was it just some fella trying his luck? (Takes all types in this world...)
 
Most of us on here acknowledge another Z4, but for some reason I seem to encounter far more of them when I'm in my 3 Series! :(
 
I always wave i.e. slightly raise my hand off the steering wheel if I pass another Zed - either 3 or 4. Sometimes people reciprocate, sometimes not.
I did pass a Z8 quite recently. I don't think I waved because maybe I was in a state of disbelief. But the Z8 driver didn't wave at me either 🙂
 
My wife laughs when I do it. She thinks it’s sad. It’s a knowing nod to someone who made the same choice as you and they are enjoying it. Hopefully.
 
I was out and about in my G29, nice day so I thought I'd take a spin 'doon the clyde' saw a blue g29 in front and followed it down to the esplanade at greenock, poor people must of thought i was stalking them 😬
 
Sometimes they will wave back, sometimes not, I think it’s down to whether or not they have bought the car because they are enthusiasts or bought the car to show off. I usually wave or flash my lights if it’s an E85 or a Z3, not so much for an E89 or G29.

My wife loves it when another driver waves. She pretty much always waves back. I'm the same. Have done in every sports car we have owned.
