Was very pleasantly surprised this morning to receive the BMW roadster/Coupe brochure from Baza.
Had an informative half hour reading it and studying the figures for the different versions, standard equipment, options and even accessories.
Learnt quite a bit . . . .
Found out the 3.0si coupe has a higher final drive ratio than the roadster

Roadster 3.23 Coupe 3.46
(Must be to allow for the extra weight

Roadster 1385(1415) Coupe 1395 (1425))
Acceleration 50-75mph in 4th/5th gear is also faster in the Coupe than Roadster (but not the 0-62mph times)
Roadster 5.5/6.7 Coupe 5.2/6.2 sec 5.7 sec both 0-62mph
Standard equipment includes a 'Battery Safety Terminal' reducing the risk of fire in the event of collision; within milliseconds the starter cable is PYROTECHNICALLY DETACHED from the battery

Sounds like a fighter canopy!
Has anyone ever seen the 'elegant boot lid railing, designed to enable the quick and easy mounting of a special luggage rack and hard sided case'?? - wonder if anyone ever did take up this 'Genuine BMW Accessory'?
Proud to have this document together with the A4 book I write up all details of my Zed ownership in. Need a new book as I've filled this one already with details and drawings of major Forum runs undertaken as well as all servicing maintenance and work done on the Zed.
The brochure is a fitting and excellent addition.
Many thanks to Baza for posting up and posting out - arrived in superb condition and very much appreciated
This is a brilliant Forum - no doubt about that
