Z4 brake clonking

Jackboy, you already seem to have made up about this car and nothing anyone says on here will change your mind, however there clean pristine examples out there, as for the mileage thing I would rather have a slightly higher mileage than a low mileage one that's that been stuck in London all day, these engines are designed to run and be used not to sit in clogged up city traffic, despite whta you say the low mileage and service histrory this car has not been looked after, look on the forum of members cars there is no reason why an 03 /04 car should be perfect.

My Zed has 56K on the clock and I have npo clonking issues what so ever I got nearly 40K out of the brake pads and has been stated just over 20K out of the original Bridgestone runflats, there is no reason why this car should require any mechanical work at so such a low mileage other than abuse.

Now, back to the brake clonk. Any other ideas? If the pads were almost out, and somebody suggested 20,000 is about maximum life, could this cause it?
No I wouldn't think so, I think worn bushes are your best bet.

I will add some more info that will be mostly pointless, but hey plus one an all that....

My car has 80k worth of miles on it. The bushings, shocks have not been changed and no odd noises come from any part of the car. I have changed brake pads & rotors, but only because they were worn, not because of any undue noise problems. I also track the car semi regularly. the only time I had a clunking noise was when one of the control arm rods went somewhat bad. As others have said, the Z4 is a well built car that really shouldn't be having problems as early. Of course there are lemons out there.
