In (hopefully) the not to distant future im looking at buying my fav car, a Z4 :)

Although i will soon have a look around one i was wondering how useful the Z4's boot is.

Can you fit a suitcase in one? Anyone with pics of what they have managed to get in there boot would be good to look at :)

its great i went to my sisters house for Christmas last year and fitted two sets of golf clubs, two weekend cases and everyones presents in!

Very spacious for a 2 seater sports. I can easily fit a large hardshell case in and Mrs CJ steals the Zed and can get a fully Tesco trolley load of shopping in !!

More space can be gained by raising a tray that the softtop would normally lower into.

BMW also do a bespoke set of 3 cases that max the space.

You can cram a lot of stuff in it. Well for its size. A large suitcase and a smaller one. SoCalSizzie. A large suitcase and a duffle bag. Thirty days worth of groceries. Go take a look at one and ask the dealer to open the trunk.

Ive never had any problem with fitting stuff in. Grocery shopping never an issue

Holiday this year was two weeks touring in Scotland for me and the mrs, no problems at all, One large suitcase, one medium suitcase, two pairs of hiking boots, coats + stuff bought whilst away (and probably other stuff I can't remember).

Late holiday - 1 week to a self catering cottage in the lakes, again a large suitcase, 1 weeks food, hiking boots, coats, dressing gowns + xmas presents for a drop to family on the way up...

overall very practical

I can get one large suitcase, one medium with room left over for other small item stuffed about. As cj10jeeper, mentioned very spacious for a 2 seat roadster.

I disagree you can stick a xmas tree out of the roof in the roadster... try that in a coupe  :P

The boot looks small but suprisingly enough you can cram alot in. When the weather is fine I take my Z4Mc do the family food shop for three and have loads of room and I have travelled from Germany to UK and back several times. This in turn requires me to take loads of luggage and can easily get a large holdall in with space then left for a smaller bag.

I'm a photographer, I often have to go on location shoots, my Z4 carries, 2 studio lights, cables, softboxes, background and light stands, camera bag..and accessories! Its amazing how much you can get in if you try LOL...

you can cram a load of gear in the boot. but dont forget the long hanging space behind the passanger and driver seat. hooks are in the roll hoops to hang your gear on. i use a small loop of material to attach to the hook so that lots of coat hangers can be accommodated there!

in the past i have owned Z4 specific luggage, but whilst it fitted the boot perfectly the cases were odd shapped an had no wheels or long handles like we get to expect today on modern luggage...... after alll who wants to carry a case from the car to the hotel reception?

It is amazing how much you can fit in really.

I dont see how two sets of clubs AND cases would fit in though but well done.

LOL. True, but hubby has an X5 and a F-150 so I'm good on moving large things.

:worthless:

I was able to cram in my Z4MC a medium suitcase, a small suitcase, a 17" laptop case, my briefcase, and some assorted little bags and stuff for a business trip to Florida. :)

not much at all really!

i paid £70 second hand and sold it for £110 a few months later.

as i said in an earlier post fitted nice, but no wheels or handles.

who the hell carries a case any more.

Dario

dario, looked like some nice luggage. I suppose you can achieve the same thing with various sized soft bags, but not as handy.
