Z4 Boot Lock & Door Lock Covers - £10
I thought I should create a thread of my/their own in this section to help keep track of orders as well as postage updates. etc.
To see the results - take a look at thanatu55's post here: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=101230
These are 3D Printed in PLA, you get 4 x Boot Lock Covers and 4 x Door Lock Covers, and includes postage - for £10.
Hopefully that's enough to account for breakages, paint tests, loss etc.
Please note, the PLA colour used to print will be random, since they're being painted anyways
Payment via PayPal - [email protected]
By design they are a very tight fit, so due to print and measurement tolerances, you may find you need to file the notch down every so slightly. Me personally, these fitted perfectly after using a little force to initially get it on the first time around. After that, it was easy to attach / remove whilst at the same time still being held tightly.
As these are 3D Printed, there will be "layer lines" from the printing. It is recommended to use a high build / heavy primer to remove and smooth out the lines. Failing that, a GENTLE light rub down or sanding as part of the prime prep should get it smooth. Then spray your chosen colour and lacquer
Boot Lock Cover is 36mm +/- 0.5 in diameter, Door Lock Cover is 20mm +/- 0.25 in diameter
Feedback and pictures of painted & fitted ones once received would be much appreciated
