Z4 Boot Lid Removal

Good Morning,

I'd thought I'd ask here, I've done a bit googling but haven't seen anything useful. Does any one know how to remove your boot lid?

I'm replacing mine due to my current one being damaged.

I did search here but may have been a bit rubbish on my search.

This is a real easy job :

1) remove the hand grabs
2) unplug the 3 connectors and pull the wires out by the rubber seal on the right hand side (3rd brake light, key barrell and latch)
3) undo the 3 torx holding the latch in place
4) take the latch out, its connected to the barrell by a mechanical cable (leave that in place)
5) remove the 2 screws from the bracket holding the key barrel in place and remove the bracket (on screw is only accessible when you turn the key in the barrell)
6) from the inside turn the barrell mechanism until it comes out
7) unbolt the 3rd brake light (seperate guides available)
8 ) undo the 4 bolts holding the roof to the hindges (a friends help is needed to hold the roof)

refittings is the reverse, although you will need a wire hanger to feed the wires back through the boot
