Z4 Body Chassis E85

As I saw in Bmw's parts catalog, Bmw gives a different part number for the skeleton of a Z4M and a regular Z4.
What are the main differences in the bodywork between a non-M E85 and a M E85?
How much more enhanced is the Μ vehicle chassis?
What I surely know, is that it has a different construction at the chassis of the back (under the trunk). That's because Z4M comes with two mufflers and the battery in the trunk, thing which I have done in my car.

I'm thinking of installing some front-rear strut bars at my car. E85 seriously needs some enhancement when sport-driving comes.
Improved car handling, stability and reduced chassis flex are the most important advantages.

its probably got some additional strengthening added up front for boat anchor that is the s54!! lmao!!!

There is a big range of bars by Ultra Racing for the E85. http://ultraracing.my/ecatalog/index.php/product-category/bmw/bmw-e85-z4/
Any other brand which manufactures bars?

Have a look at the Strong Strut front brace set - website's a bit 'meh' but the kit is very good

I fitted them to my car - http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=76796

That's interesting. 8)
You've installed just the front upper strut bar right? Because i'm thinking of installing one front , middle and rear.
Did you notice big difference at the handling?

Yes, appears to have a positive effect and make the car less jittery on poor surfaces, dare say it would be much more noticeable on track.

These are the three ''Must-Haves'' I guess..
FRONT STRUT BAR

REAR LOWER BAR / REAR MEMBER BRACE

REAR STRUT BAR / REAR TOWER BAR

I doubt if those 2 rear bars really add significant stiffness.
For the lower rear bar, there are already bars in place (that this one replaces), and the rest of the bracing of that bar doesnt add up to a 'caged' effect, and the rear bar in the boot doesnt really sit between the shock towers (and the shock towers dont carry the weight of the suspension as they are without spring), instead it sits between the 2 rear chassis legs (or beam like reinforcements within the monocoque). On the other side of the boot (so behind the plastic bumper) there is already a big impact bar sitting on those same chassislegs.

Then again they wont weaken the car (but do add weight)

Also note that there in no manufacturer producing roll cages for the E85.
On the other there are available for the Coupe E86 and Z3 roadster. How is this explained?
Check!

Why don't you ask them? I'm sure they have email.

If it was up to me, and I would build a dedicated racecar, I'd start with a coupe obviously.

For the z3 coupe&roadster the cages look very similar on the pictures, so maybe it's the same product or only small differences. Maybe for the z4 the difference between roadster&coupe would be bigger and developing a new cage for a roadster wasnt worth it? Just a thought/speculation.

I guess it has to do with the geometry. I suppose E85 hasn't got a good basis to build a race car.
Such cages would fit perfectly with a hardtop.
