Z4 Backbox Mod!

Looking to get some more growl out from the exhaust, alas the backbox delete is just too loud for my daily!

Does anyone know somewhere to get the backbox modded from? I know the Zed Shed does them but ideally looking for somewhere in the South West of England.

If anyone could share any sound clips of their backbox modded that would be amazing!

Have you tried the sound generator mod? I went the other way and put the foam back in mine

Thanks for the tip but yes have the foam out which I quite like but it is quite artificial, would love an exhaust mod then I can put one of the foams back in, hoping that will make a good balance.

You're managing to drive around with all the foam out?? I loved the sound but it was just so loud and right in the cabin that I couldn't keep it.

I assume soundproofing has been put back in as well?
Btw, the quality of welding far surpasses the pigeon-sh*t offering from Zedshed.

I have a few photos, what you can't see is additional perforations that were drilled into the pipes after that pic. Also, the joints are not fully tigged around due to access limitations.

Exactly, new additional wadding went in after yes. It is not LOUD, but very throaty. When you give the throttle a blip you get that lovely straight 6 tune. I get a few little burbles and pops, but nothing major. Though as its sooting up over time (I don't really use the car) the little burbles are increasing. My friend is great, really does take care on his fabrication.
