Z4 ALPINA

Hi guys,

New to the forum.

I just sold my Audi TT to make way for a Z4 - I had a look at this Z4 last week, http://www.pistonheads.com/SALES/1902007.htm

I've gone in blind really , as I dont know anything about them , so is there any thing I should look out for ? also tt is listed as an Alpina , it says it on the plate in the door shuts but does'nt the Alpina consist of a different body kit and alpina badge on the boot lid ?

Bit of info would help before I part with my hard earned cash , cheers

Hi Joe & welcome.... think I remember you from when I used to have a TT coupe and went on the TT-forum! I have had my 3.0si coupe for almost a year now and never looked back on my TT :thumbsup:

As gannet said the car is defo not a Alpina as they didn't do a facelift and the Alpina has a 3.4l engine! Still a very nice car though and you wont regret it from the TT... just a shame hasn't got a roof :poke: Was your TT a 225 re-mapped? If so the speed will be similar but smoother due to no turbo.

Get it/one bought and enjoy!

Thats car looks very nice! Wish i had of had a few more grand to get a facelift 3ltr SI! :P

I love those wheels though, may be a bit marmite but they look sweet :thumbsup:

Nice one Joe very nice car... like I said shame about the lack of a roof though!

My TT wasn't remapped so the Z4 was significantly quicker. I am sure you wont be dissapointed though, very different from a turbo in power delivery but the noise of the staight 6 will make you smile from ear to ear :thumbsup:

Cheers Ali , as with all my previous cars , it's going to need some mods , not sure what the top 5 mods are ? but I got this company a stones through away from me , will visit them in the next couple of weeks http://www.mstyle.co.uk/acatalog/BMW_Z_Z4_Z4M.html :D

Great looking car... enjoy your evening :driving: Should be far more involving than the TT.

Reference M Style, they have some good choice but I'd certainly check the pricing... also, if it is a BMW part (which they do sell some of) check with Joe at Soper, very good service and pricing including delivery. It does look like a great car so I'd definitely live with it for a while, see what you want... not sure what your timescales are, but you didn't hang about with the purchase.

After the last one I think srhutch had intentions to do one when he got his M ( :poke: ), so, not sure when and how long are you planning on keeping your car?

There is a possible day trip to France on the cards for September. Don't rule out further afield - Scotland next summer's looking good! There a thread going in the Meets section - also check out the pics and video on the Skye thread, give you a taste :D
