Long time no post here. Hope you are all well. I'm now almost complete with 4 years of e 89 driving.
The amplifier has gone in my Z4 89. It's the professional amp and the 2nd one I've had. The first was replaced under warranty shortly after I brought the car, now it's out of Warranty 3 years 10 months. BMW want a bit over a £1k inc vat to replace it (ouch). I'm looking for options. so..
Anyone know if the amp is just a plug and play replacement, or does it indeed need "coding"?
If coding what does this involve what kit do you need?
Does anyone know where I can source the part cheaper online so I can swap myself?
Is there a breakers etc that might just have one or does anyone on here have one they replaced, maybe because of an upgrade?
Has anyone successfully upgraded a Z4 with pro audio? What did you use?
Does anyone know were I can access wire diagram for the pro audio system?
Long shot, but any idea where I could get a schematic of the amp?
