Z4 35is WANTED

Yes - I have bought more cars without seeing / delivered in the past than not! Until now I have been lucky - fingers crossed!

I did once get a black M6 with a bad paint finish - turned out it had been badly cleaned and just needed a full detail (proper one) to get it back to life!

Nav, upgrade audio and heated seats are the must haves..

Comfort access and media pack is very nice to have...also the extended lighting adds a nice touch..


Get the chassis number and do a full vin check .. There are a lot of options available

Thanks - what's the comfort package - is that the keyless go/keyless entry?

Did yours sell at the weekend? Thought I saw it as deposit taken?

IIRC comfort pack is the cruise control, wind deflector, extended storage and lighting Siy.

Nice sounding car there. :thumbsup:

Comfort access is keyless and roof operation off the key..
Also touch door handles to lock/unlock...
 
I bought my current car and my previous Zed without seeing them. Test drove the model up here to make sure I knew what I was getting and then asked them for a video of the car. The previous one they streamed it live to my computer and they were talking to me as they did it. If they won't do it then there may be a reason
 
Yup that's exactly what I am doing. They just don't have the car in yet. I have done this quite a few times and it almost works better as they have to point out every nick or chip etc

Did you go ahead with this car? I just got an alert email from BMW saying a car of this exact spec is available at Stockport. Be interested to know if there was something not quite right about it. Thanks
 
I did not go ahead- I had a change of heart, and have decided against a Z4 - will get an M3 instead, as then I can take the kids with me, hence will use it more!

My only issue with the car (and its a minor issue), was that two tyres were down to 4mm and they wouldnt replace them - plus it would have needed top go back in next couple months for brake fluid and something else

Frankly - the dealer in Wales was pretty poor - everything I asked them, the answer was no! I lost the love for them - and then decided to go 4 seats rather than 2.

Am sure its a goo car - we had agreed the sale at 23,500 if that helps?
 
Nope - not themoney - the fact that having bought form a dealer, I would need to return within 2 months to get things serviced - pretty fair point! Decided I want the 4 seats - plus when you say, ' after all that' - what exactly? I looked for a car I wanted - and changed my mind - nothing lost - met some nice folk on the way.. all good surely?
 
Looks like they were doing you a pretty good deal on the car and it was an excellent spec for the money! You were buying it from an Approved BMW Dealer so why would you need to return for the service? Could you not go to local dealer?? After all that!!
 
dont quite understand the spanish inquisition - but if I am buying form a BMW dealer - I do not expect that it needs to go back for service work within 2 months.

Minimum it should be 6 months problem free driving shouldnt it?

I drove one - and found it ok - handling wasnt amazing - but was still a good car.... as I say - decided to go for 4 seats.
If you had sopoken to the salesman, you may understand better - he was pretty appaling - made me feel like I was doing him a favour.

Frankly, I felt better telling them to keep it!

I can certainly understand where you are coming from but I've no real idea if that was factored into the price you were paying - swings and roundabouts and all that. Similarly, there is nothing better than telling an arrogant salesman to do one, particularly where, as in this case, you weren't 100% sold on the car.

Good luck with whatever you settle on.
 
Thanks - its a shame I didnt go for the Z.. great cars without a doubt - but think I made the better call having 4 seats - means I may actually use this car for a change!

Really appreciate people's help though whilst I was looking - great forum, and great people....! Cheers
