z4 3.0si Suspension Upgrades

So went for my first proper drive in the Zed this weekend and thoroughly enjoyed in but felt the suspension could do with some work.

It feels a bit unsettled on the bumpy roads and I lacked the confidence I had come to expect from my previous car (mk7 fiesta ST)

Turns out I didnt get a msport like I thought I was buying (not a massive issue, it was 30k less miles and cheaper than all other for sale near me)

So what route to people normally go down to tighten up the suspension?

Springs / Coils or just uprated ARB's?

Depends what you want to achieve and your budget.

OE Springs are generally snap happy so most often change them.
ARBs can be changed, coilovers, springs and shocks, bushings etc.

Do you want a car that just holds the road as it did from new/a bit better or something more track focussed; how much do you want to spend?

I'm similarly interested in this topic. I've currently got Eibach springs (fitter by previous owner) which look great and ride ok'ish, but are impractically low and a bit prone to bottoming out.

My aim is something that I can adjust the height on so I can have it a bit lower than standard but not quite as low as it is now, and something that provides good B-road comfort (I only very occasionally go out on track, comfort is 1st). With roughly a £1k budget.

I was thinking maybe KWv2's, but don't know if they provide good comfort on softer settings? Any other recommendations?

I've a lot of praise for the v2's. Comfortable around town and when pushed they really perform well.

certainly far more compliant on rougher roads than the bc's I've got fitted to my roadster

Max coilover height is likely to be at least as low as Eibach springs. They don't lower much beyond standard M Sport suspension so if you really want a higher ride I'd suggest just switching to standard M Sport springs but from Suplex as the OEM ones snap a lot on the rear.

Another option is the bilstein b12 kit - b8 sprint dampers with Eibach springs. I've got those with powerflex bushes and my personal experience is they are fantastic.
