Z4 3.0Si Sport Coupe (07) Montego Blue 77k miles - new MOT

Hi all,

The time has come to put my fabulous Z4 coupe up for sale. It’s a great car, which I bought as a BMW approved-used vehicle back in July 2010, so 14+ years of happy motoring!
I still love it and think the car looks great, though with ever reducing mileage and other cars in use, I’ve been averaging under 2k miles p.a. the past few years, so time for someone else to enjoy...

Z4 3.0 Si Sport in Montego Blue metallic. Manual.
Pearl Grey Oregon leather.
Just coming up to 77k miles.
Comfort package - incl. Park Distance Control, auto wipers, auto lights, auto dimming mirror, multi-function steering wheel.
Bi Xenon headlights.
Composite 108 style alloys with matching set of Goodyear Eagle F1’s all round.
Car totally standard, apart from the tyres which are non-RFT’s.

I'm located in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands.

Looking for offers around £10,800 – this based on what I can see online for similar year / mileage, with mine amongst the lowest miles and prior owners (2).

Main service history and maintenance items:-
• PDI stamp Mar07
• Oil service Mar09 @ 17k
• Inspection II Sep 11 @ 35k – Sytner BMW
• Water pump changed with coolant refresh - Jan14 at 51k miles
• Oil service Mar15 @ 55k – Sytner BMW
• Front discs + pads, rear pads, brake fluid all done Oct17 at 65k miles. Just clocking up to 77k, so plenty of life left on those.
• Inspection I Dec17 @ 66k – Sytner BMW
• Oil Service Oct20 @ 72k
• New DSC Yaw sensor, rear main brake pipes replaced (fabricated in copper), new front brake reaction bushes, replaced coil pack and replaced drivers door membrane – all done Jun21 @72.2k.
• Inspection II* Apr23 @ 74.5k (*brake fluid not changed, although I’d asked for it to be done – garage tested it and said and all in order) + washer pump replaced.

MOT until 30/11/2024.

Interior in great shape. All electrics working as they should. Instruments all fine.
Engine smooth and I still got a 42 mpg average on good run up North and into Scotland a while back!
Oil level bang on, as is coolant level - never drops and good for over -30C from recent test. Air con nice and cold.

Wheels do need a refurb, but are strong and true with no buckles / welds and tyres hold perfect pressure.
On some of the pics you’ll see the car on its set of winter tyres with black 108’s.

The nearside headlight does occasionally get a bit of condensation in it after heavy rain, but soon clears.
A couple of tiny "supermarket car park dings" but not noticeable unless you look - for a 17-year old car with 77k, it's in fabulous condition.

Have all the original owner’s handbook and guides in their BMW wallet, 2 keys and even the emergency plastic key!
Think that covers most things, but drop me a line if any questions.

Thanks!

Paul C.

Hi there Silverghost,

I'd be happy to include the black winter set as well.
They've not been used for a couple of years, but also decent (no cracks, buckles or welds) though could also do with a refurb, but were fine as a winter set and the M+S tyres had decent tread, but are now past their best.

Cheers,

Paul C.

Hi Paul, Im Chris and I like the look of your coupe. Would you be able to take more pictures of the car showing the dings, under the bonnet, inside the boot, closer shots of the wheels and arches and more interior shots? Are the seats just electric, no heating? Has any paintwork been done to the car?
Cheers Chris.

I thought you might like this one Chris!

All 3 litre UK Z4s had electric seats with driver's memory.

But he asked about heating :poke:

Looks to me like it doesn’t have heated seats. But it is in the best colour. GLWTS.

No heated seats. The cabin heats up really quickly, you don’t really need them. They’re essential in a roadster though.

Thanks all.

Yes seats are just electric with memory presets, not heated. I bought the car after taking my time for the colour combination. Paintwork all original and in excellent order.

Should be able to get some additional pics later this afternoon and can post them

Hi Chris,

Yep, that'd be quite a trip so happy to have a chat beforehand and can also try and do a bit of a "video walk round" via Zoom in advance.

Some of the pics you requested about to follow.
Happy to send more to an email if you'd like

Further pics as requested - super-tidy interior, shots of boot with toolkit intact... even down to the pack of fuses and plastic fuse tweezers :)

Wheels need a refurb, but as mentioned are strong and true + hold perfect pressure. Think it sensible for next person to do this, in case they want a different colour scheme and was considered when setting the price.

Getting the dings is quite tricky as they are really small but you'll see the two best shots I can get.

Let me know if anything else.

Cheers,

Paul C.

Hi Paul, many thanks for the new photos. Could I ask for a picture of the drivers side front arch/wing and the passenger side rear arch/ wing when you can. Do you have all the cars history, service book and receipts, previous owners, how long they had the car and where abouts, that sort of stuff, sorry but I like that sort of stuff. A video would be great and if you can, send anything to [email protected].
Thanks so much. C

Hi there,

Yes, have all the original handbooks, guides, service booklet etc. with the BMW wallet. Also have all the docs from when I bought it in 2010 from BMW Bowker Preston as an approved used car - picture attached...I also like all that sort of stuff :D
Also have a bunch of invoices, old tax discs etc.

A couple of shots of each of the quarters you'd asked for, to give a view of the arches / wings.

Cheers,

Paul C.

Morning Paul, you have a nice car there, but I have to factor in those wheels are not going to be cheap to get done properly and the dents need sorted, so at that price I reluctantly have to say its a no from me. Good luck with the sale. C

No problem Chris - thanks for your interest.
It is a great car and why I’ve had it for 14 years :)

Refurbing the wheels will cost a few £’s but should be relatively straightforward, as it’s cosmetic only and the dings are so small (as you can see in the photos) but appreciate a new owner may still want to sort.

Prices vary, but around the level I’ve suggested, most I see online have 90+k miles and I daresay will also have the odd ding. I don’t need to squeeze every last £ out of a deal, but will gauge sensibly against current market given the low miles / owners and strong history. By all means drop in a potential offer if you’re still looking… meanwhile will keep it on the Forum for a while longer before looking to advertise further.

Cheers!
