Hi all,

My Z4 is coming up to 100k and is now mainly used as a weekend car when I get the time. I really enjoy owing it and don’t plan to get rid of it anytime soon.

I’ve kept on top of the maintenance over my 4 years of ownership. I’ve done:

Regular oil services
Had the diff and gearbox oil serviced
Changed the break fluid
Had the alloy wheels refurbed
Painted the callipers and hubs
Changed both front control arms
Removed the run flats
Custom exhaust installed
Replaced the broken rear springs

I’m looking to keep the car on the road for as long as possible. I was after some advice for maintenance/upgrades to do to the car please? I think the shock absorbers are tired out and could do with a refresh

Any advice welcome!

Cheers,

Strav

Yes, the electric water pump will definitely die at some point.

The pump on my first Z4 died at just 60K so it's possible your car has already had a new one, although if you don't know I'm not sure if there is any way to tell from inspection.

When it does go the engine overheats within a mile, so if you want to avoid that you might want to replace it for peace of mind.
