Z4 3.0si - E85 - Silvergrau

I’ve had the car three years and apart from some brake fade when I’ve been pushing it too hard, the car hasn’t put a foot wrong (rectified this with EBC Yellow Stuff pads). I’ve done a road trip to France in it and several weekend trips around Wales and Scotland. It comes with a full service history, fresh MOT with no advisories and stacks of paperwork.

The car is kept in a garage on a trickle charger and covered when not in use. The dreaded water pump had been done prior to me purchasing the car (101k miles, receipt to prove) and the roof motor has been relocated to the boot. The car was wrapped when I bought it which has now been removed very carefully over the winter. The only areas that I had an issue with was the front bumper which has been resprayed along with the side reflectors and fog light blanking plates.

The car has just ticked over 112k miles.

All the following mechanical work has been completed by The Zed Shed and done within the last 10k miles (I’ve only done 6k miles during my three-year ownership):

> Suspension dampers front and back – Sachs OEM
> Springs front and back
> New battery
> CDV delete
> Gear box oil change box and diff
> Cam cover gaskets and bolts
> Brake pads – EBC Yellow Stuff
> Brake discs
> Brake fluid
> Full wheel alignment (2 weeks ago)

I’ve also had Continental ContiSport 5’s fitted on all four corners which have done around £3k miles.

It comes with the upgraded stereo and aux connection for Bluetooth music along with the wind deflector, leather arm pads on the doors, heated seats and gap tech module to open the roof with the key (x2). It doesn’t have reversing sensors or cruise control.

Here are the bits / finishing touches I’ve done or added myself to the car:

> Maxton gloss black rear spoiler
> LED number plate lights and interior lights
> Longlife stainless steel back box
> Gloss black Z4 badging
> Smoked third brake light
> K&N air filter
> Eventuri Ram Air Scoop (note, only the scoop behind the grilles)
> OEM badges front, rear and alloys
> Carbon fibre wrap to all main interior trim
> Gloss black wrapped roll hoops, steering wheel trim and other little touches such as air con surround for consistency
> Royals steering wheel – perforated sides
> BMW Performance stubby shifter
> 2 stage polish and finished with a deep gloss wax
> Ceramic coated glass
> Redyed soft top with water seal
> Gtechniq C4 permeant trim restorer
> New perforated handbrake handle
> AC Schnitzer Type 8 (pretty sure these are reps but very light) powder coated in dark copper
> Aero wiper blades
> Painted fog light blanking plates and side reflectors

Forum price - £5,500.00

Car is located in North Wales / Chester.

I'm loving the painted reflectors and the fog light deletes, it looks so much better IMO. Its a stunning car GLWTS.
Thanks. On a previous Coupe I had the reflectors replaced with filler and then sprayed - looked even better!! 8)

Maybe removing some of the more marmite mods would help widen the appeal?

Sell the spoiler and smoked brake light separate? Got a stock set of wheels?

Thanks for the feedback. Agree that some of the mods are a bit marmite, I think the colour of the alloys might be issue. In terms of looks and stance I think they're pretty good. Defo on the smoked third brake light. Will do that one ASAP.

I agree the smoked light and spoiler could go, if it were me. Only because it’s a light colour car, if it were darker they would blend in better.
I actually really like the wheels, they look good, and I only normally like Oem.
Mileage may be a bit high for some, but priced accordingly. I’d jack it up and put it in reverse to bring the mileage down a bit. 😆

Purely my opinion but i wouldn't alter anything Dan , it looks a stand out example to me .
The lack of interest is more to do with its miles , the current mmarket & the ask .
I would ebay classified advert at £5250 with all the negatives removed from description simply because majority of them are to be expected with a 18yr 112k sports car after multiple owners .

For those reading who are thinking these Si roadies are utter bargains now around £5k-£6k its worth noting they were the same 5 - 6

If I were in the market for an Si I would bite your hand off for this, I think it looks lovely 🥰
Another year in the 35is for me then I might drop back into an e85 and use it as a daily.

GLWTS it looks a fine example sir.

Thanks for the feedback Andy. Hope you're doing well.

That looks like a good buy for someone, so GLWTS.

N52 engines are great - I'm on my 4th now! And for anyone concerned about the mileage look at this thread:- https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=147898

Makes mine look like a baby!

Updated price to reflect the comments.

Dan, we were discussing the prices of these yesterday on our run. They’re very good value just now but the market seems to have completely died ATM.

Having seen yours and had spirited runs through the forests with it  I I can vouch for how nice this is and well looked after. Looks really nice with wrap removed. GLWTS

Thanks Andy, I probably wouldn't be selling if I didn't need the garage space given the values atm and how dead the market is. Hope you're keeping well buddy. Looks like you've been doing some epic roadtripa of late!!!

Did you manage to sell this OP as it’s dropped off of autotrader?

No, not yet, I've had one person interested via FB. I only ran the AT for a couple of weeks. It's blummin expensive!
