Z4 3.0si & 911 GTS

 Lancs.
Had a glorious days driving with my brother who’s recently bought a 911 GTS.
Covered 160 miles across the Bowland Fells and Yorkshire Dales – reached as high as the Tan Hill Inn for those who know the area.
Swapped cars on drive back – the GTS is a 7 speed dual clutch PDK auto pushing out 444bhp. Hells bells on earth, its a feckin monster especially in Sport + where it holds the gears to 4,000 revs, and the noise Wow
An all round great driving experience, but I was happy enough returning to my manual. My brother loved the top down experience and manual shifting in the Zed - I couldn’t shake him through the twisties :driving:

Some pics, a misty start

Sounds like a grand day out!

Some good photos too.

All it's done down here is rain today, but it was forecast so on Friday our local monthly meet scheduled for this morning was called off. :(

It sounds like your brother has bought a beast! :)

You can see why I chose the manual 7 speed for my 911. Looks like a good fun day.

Nice day out Colin , , all places i know well , , i like the Stonyhurst start point  even in the early mist its a special place , & i see the Jubilee tower in pic 2 , shame you couldn't see the view :(
Great pics

Some smashing pics there Marlon - looks like a good day out

Just realised pic 3 should be before pic 2

Yep - you're quite right Andy, don't think there's anyone who knows those roads better.
I planned most of the route after following you over the years

Looks great Marlon

We had a nice motoring day yesterday, up at the crack of dawn to tackle some of the most exciting roads around these parts!

All said and done Attilio and I spent about 10 hours (6am to 4pm) just driving, stopping to refuel (ourselves  - coffee and what not) and then back on the road! Narrowly missed a speed van thanks to a decent chap going the other way who flashed to warn us :)

M4, E92 M3, E90 M3, Z4M, and my 3.0 Z4

Not much compares to days like these :)

That sounds like a great day out Marlon! Always wanted to test a 911 too :)

There’s very little that beats driving a fine car on interesting and challenging roads, even better when you’re with friends and like-minded people!

@Peter-E36: yes, I was indeed nearly 10 hrs, it flew by though,,,thanks for posting!

Yep, I bet yours is a peach of a drive :driving:
My brothers is a DD he's covering a lot of miles and lots of city driving hence the auto box - he has several weekend toys, all manual

It was filthy, but red doesn't show it on pics.
So tired when I got home I haven't cleaned it yet :(
