Afternoon all,

Was hoping to get some kind assistance. The offisde rear coil has broken on my Z (very sad face).

I beleive (though I'm not 100%) that the 2006 3.0si has the M Tech springs fitted as standard.

Is someoe able to confirm this please?

Also, can anyone provide a part/model number for the correct spring?

Thank you in advance
ADM.

Pretty sure Z4M-2006 has a rear going :) probably exchange it for the price of a curry
i bought a full set of used springs for spares off another forum guy soon after i purchased my Z & sure enough within 4 months i needed a rear :| poor quality original's but luckily not that expensive a part

M tech!?!? Just basic OEM springs on all cars except ZM which has a standard drop of 15mm with the springs! :)

Can anyone else verify this?

I was sure the Si had the M Tech pack which included the lower suspension?

isn't the si just a relation to the engine?

after that there is the trim level (se or sport)

reason for be believing this is because you can pick up a si se coupe as well as the si sport coupe (which has all the 'm' bits on it)

Si does have M tec springs as standard..

Im afraid my spare one has gone..

Andy was correct,a cost of a curry covered it!..

How many times have i seen this question on here?!

For facelift only:
Si is engine related... You can have a sport or se variant. Sport variant is 15mm as standard.

Go to http://www.bmw.com/com/en/owners/accessories/electronic-parts-catalogue/electronic-parts-catalogue.html

Click "visit the catalogue" on the right and use the password provided. Enter your VIN number. Above you will see a tab that allows to check your factory spec.

If you see "M Sports suspension", then you have the harder shocks and the 15mm lower springs. I have them on my SI, together with the M wheel - unfortunately the previous owner must have been too big to fit info the M seats, so he did not spec them.

Of course the "M Sports suspension" on the SI has little to do with the suspension on the original Z4M.

Thanks all, particularly corsaire77 for the link. It think the part number I need is: 33 53 6 761 926

If anyone could confirm this I would be eternally grateful. :)
