It goods like a very clean car
That was very thoughtful to hide the number plate on the scooter
What software is used to do this?

Sorry to jump off topic... but why did you hide the number plate... or why do people hide their number plates in general... if your car is parked in some car park, in work or on the side of the road, everyone can see your plate, so what is the difference.

Would people crack up if you found a photo on the net of let's say a building and your car was in the background (and your plate was visible)... i don't understand why people hide their plates, can some one explain the reason for this...

Best of luck with the sale of your car, looks in good shape and sorry again for changing the topic but at least you got a bump ;)

People mainly to do it to help prevent someone cloning their car. Think about it, if a criminal cut and shuts a Z4, the first place they'll go for cloning a numberplate is classified ads (Autotrader, PH, Ebay, Here). Once they find an identical looking car they have a clone victim. Much harder to do this browsing in carparks :) You can also easily get peoples addresses from their V5 data; so if some thief is after what your selling, they know exactly where you live.

Its often why people also use different plates at car shows...

Looks a nice car Steevvooo, good luck with the sale... Maybe worth waiting a month or so though for the weather to pick up

Cool, thanks, i always knew it was something to do with someone stealing... thanks, back to the main topic... i would also hold out for another month if you could, you should get a little more for it coming up to the Summer months, best of luck with it either way

Nice loooking Zed and makes a great buy with the top engine and older. At 44k it's just run in nicely.

I really would suggest you put a price on it as prospectives can't gauge what you expect. You'll either be offered £7500 by a chancer, or people not offer as they think you expect them to offer £15k. I'd also drive around the corner to the local park or country lane and photo it. Green walls, car under cover bikes don't really help visualise how good it is.

Number plate cloning. One reason to have a short private plate. Cloners want anonymity so a bland AB02 ABC is all they want.

Thanks for the comments (and bumps  ) guys. I have it advertised on pistonheads for £11,499. I'm in no rush, so someone wants it, that's great. I've been offered 10k for trade in, but I'd rather take cash in (and more than 10k) to have some bargaining power. Some places offering sill trade ins for 8-8.5k!

As for plates, spot on about the cloning. Actually watching something as we speak on BBC1 called "cars, cops and criminals" about cloning etc  :)

If there's no interest, the approaching spring/summer weather can only help! :D Maybe I won't want to sell it then!

It's actually the girlfriends scooter, and the bike behind is mine :D I used Picasa I think, it has a swirl/blur feature.

A couple of photos when I first bought it...

Final call… it’s likely to be traded in on Sunday, so if someone offers 10.5-11k I’d rather it goes to a good home :(

You have a PM
