after taking an approximate 6 month disappearance to catch up on my studies while this american nation goes thru a long broke-ass period.... ive been enjoying my 2007 335i. it's nice, fast, and spacious [sorta]. the 6 speed manual is fun as hell to shift, especially when trying to achieve fast speeds. the 4 doors is most definitely a change from a two door (i've owned mostly 2 doors), and i like the fact that i can have my friends come along for the ride on long, cool roadtrips (ie. bimmerfest). the engine sounds great, the turbos are cool to play with, and the inside of the cabin emits a nice turbine whine when accelerating hard. overall... it's a good car, and an adequate replacement to my old 2003 z4 3.0i with a SMG tranny.
but really though...
the z4 is a beautiful car, it is fun to drive, especially if an M [Porsche killer]. i look at all these new zeds and i wish i could have it. and actually, on an egotistical level, although the 335i garnishes the typical "nice car" comments, i also do get a lot of, "when's the baby coming along?" comments. in the bay area, the 3 series is quite a common site. it's rather sad! so i end up just having another car that everyone else has. oh, well! it's still a "nice car!"
the z4..... turned heads every where, and all the time. regardless if everyone had one. and on top of that, not a lot of people have zeds around this bay area, and they're only seemingly prevalent b/c you probably have the same car. the sound of the z4, new and years-past, that the engine makes is hot sounding and i know that a good driver can take a 335i out any day in a zed.
anyways, enough of this gloating.... i was missing my z4 because my car is a mess!!! the zed was too beautiful to ever let it get outta control or dirty as fawk.
happy
