I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how to best replace a starter motor on a 3.0i 2004 roadster. Everything was fine yesterday, even driving through Hurricane Bawbag in Scotland, then today, car doesn't start, no click nothing. AA man came and alternator is good, battery level is good, power to starter, good... which leaves the starter motor itself. The cars done 106,000 miles so I guess its due for replacement and at £120 its not a bad price. Just how do I remove the old one ??? anyone please. btw I just replaced the standard runflats with Vredestein Ultrac sassanas all round....my god it's a changed car...so quiet and very little bone charring compared to before and at £520 a set fitted much much cheaper than the RFT's better still if I can get the car started.
