Z4 3.0i for £5000?

Hello I have been saving for a while now and I almost have £5k. Is there any nice 2004/2005 z4 3.0i under 70k miles within my price or is it just a pipe dream? I've been looking a lot on AT but none come up. Is it worth waiting it out or just getting a £1000 bank loan to afford one?

I am based in the north east

Thanks a lot, any replies are appreciated.

Not far off I would say Scott - some real gems have gone around the 5.6 to 5.8 figure on here so something will turn up and whilst you search you save more towards it

Well worth putting a Wanted Ad in the for sale section - that's how I bought my first - Best of luck

+1 Good luck with the search. You'll be in a Zed before you know it. Don't forget to check out AlanJ's buying guide checklist sticky thread and if it were me I'd be keeping an eye out on eBay too. Can always ask opinion on here with a quick link.

Sure you have thought of this anyways but if you are restricting your search to a maximum price of £5k, try putting it to £6k as there may be some close to £5k that you can haggle down, especially this time of year.

Thanks alot. Yeah I will try putting a wanted advert on here very soon. Also yes I have tried putting £5500 as my maximum budget on these sites :)

I saw one earlier but i'm not sure about the earlier models. Here is the advert on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291076435220?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

"enthusiast" may mean it's been driven hard but who knows..

ZermattV is right and your advert link shows that.

Be patient and keep looking - I'm pretty sure something will come up and meet your limit.

Good luck - lots of help and advice on this forum.

:driving:

My little stunner went for £5.7k not long ago. She was a beauty. You'll get a 3.0i for £5k, but watch out for price rises as spring comes.

I,d say this was more than do-able & the one linked is worth further investigation .
I had a couple lined up last summer sub £5k & they were very nice examples , i was swayed toward the V6 TT though as convertibles not really my thing :o
Happy hunting

Car was for sale on the forum a few weeks ago, he traded it in for a BMW 6 series I believe! it does read as if it was looked after by an enthuthsiast.

Hey last August (2013) I bought a 2.5se - 54 plate FSH 51k miles mint car from a main dealer paid £7k I little expensive but the car is mint - I had problems with the roof and the dealer sorted it no prob when I asked for a print out of the work they had done on the car I was surprised at what they had done ....

New Roof motor
New Handbrake linkage
Oil service
Bulb Replacements
Air Bag Light Error

In addition to this they...
Taxed it for 12 months
Paid for the transfer of my private plate
And on the day I picked it up they filled it with fuel !

As I know "jack" about cars I chose the main dealer route and probably paid a bit over the odds but I wanted the piece of mind of a main dealer

My 53 plate 3.0i will be up for sale shortly, will be approuching 110k miles at that point. I would like to think that will be £5k's worth.

Good luck in your hunt.

Z4 bought. I've put a deposit down for sams old one. Dealer put wrong price on at £5000, was ment to be £5500 but got it for £5250! Will post pictures.
