Evening Folks,
As some of you may know, 6 years ago I sadly lost my farther (an avid forum member) and unfortunately had to let go of his E85 3.0 si. Being only 18 and given the circumstances the car had to go, at the time it was the right thing to do however it was sadly missed. Here we are today 6 years down the line and having kept in touch with the owner I sold the car to over the years, a few weeks ago he finally decided to sell and as agreed at the time, he offered me first refusal. This was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down! Having only adding around 13k miles and enjoying various trips around Europe the previous owner has certainly enjoyed it over the years however she’s now back home where she belongs.
Upon first sight of the car on collection I was delighted to see the care he had taken over it in the last few years, I certainly sold it to the right man. However after 2 weeks of blood, sweat and the odd tear she’s back up to my standards! Now clay bar’d, polished and waxed the paintwork is looking as fresh as the day we parted with her, I’ve also painted the hubs and callipers which has also helped freshen her up. After fitting some spare M Performance Alloys I had lying around whist I had the originals refurbished I’ve decided to leave them on. After fitting some spacers I’m sure you’ll agree they set the car off really wells as well as adding my own stamp to her.
At the weekend she was finally finished (for now) so my fiancé and I enjoyed our first day out in the car together to Southport, roof down of course! To say I’m happy to have it back would be an understatement and am looking forward to making plenty of fond memory’s in her in the future. With our wedding booked for April 2019 there’s nothing I’m looking forward to more than driving there on the day in my Dad’s car. Certainly a story with a happy ending
Of course this thread would be worthlessness without pics!!.......
