I am looking forward to picking up my Z4 in a fortnight or so, but one thing that bugs me is how crap the standard exhaust sounds.
I understand you can remove one or both of the foam sound deadening pieces in a pipe in the engine bay, but presumably this just allows more sound into the cabin, rather than actually improving the exhaust note.
I've had a listen to videos on YouTube and even those cars fitted with aftermarket exhausts still sound pretty crap.
Has anyone had any success in making their car sound good with exhaust tuning? Presumably if you wanted to go the whole hog you could fit upgraded front pipes, a decat and car-back exhaust?
Maybe I've just been spoilt as my other car is an Alfa with a Busso V6...
