Z4 3.0 SE re-map

So... I am contemplating a remap and just wondered if any of you guys have done the deed and whether you would recommend it?

I have searched the net and found this company who are claiming a 20bhp increase and 30nm increase in torque but I am awaiting a firmed up quotation from them.

I like the idea that it is lifetime guarantee and it can be removed and replaced as many times as you wish free of charge.

What do you guys think? would the difference be that noticable? Has anyone had similar map done?

I'm getting mine done on the 20th March by P-Torque.

Rolling road before and after for £260 I think. Will who runs P-Torque is highly regarded, and has been very honest about what to expect..

Which can vary from anywhere between 10-16 bhp. :roll:

However, the reason i want to do it, is I want to make the car a lot more smoother.

Will owns an M Roadster, so he has an idea of what can be achieved from a Z4.

Any power increase will hardly be noticeable, BMW do a pretty good job of squeezing power out of their engines.

20BHP seems optimistic.

General opinion is it isn't worth the cash, do a search and you'll find plenty of discussion on this.
