Z4 3.0 E85 2003 - Full Brake refresh

I have gotten brembo front and rear pads already. Need to get the following:

1. Front Discs
2. Rear Discs
3. Front calipers
4. Rear hoses (pipes)
5. Brake Fluid

Questions;

1. Shall I just get Brembo discs or any other make you guys recommend?
2. Is Autodoc now the best place for parts? can you recommend other choices?
3. Calipers - are these easy to get a hold of and what make do you guys recommend and where do you get them from?
4. Will need a full service too. Will I just get it all the fluids and filters from autodoc?
5. What's the best value for money brake fluid which when push comes to shove won't leave you crying that you wished you spent £10-£20 more? Not looking to spend £300 on brake fluid just best value for money option thats reasonably priced?

This is after me spending £500+ getting the power steering fixed. Another £500+ on a full front suspension refresh. And then another few hundred quid on new battery, MOT and shift lock to be sorted on Monday. And then another few hundred quid for a full service will likely be required in a week or two. Maybe I should have just taken the car apart and sold it for parts?

So I am probably looking at another £500 after labour on this full brake refresh. Moral of the story never let your car sit on the driveway for 2 years. Oh and I have a brand new set of alloys and brand new set of tyres in the garage that need to go on the new alloys and then on the car. I think this is turning into triggers broom.

All parts ordered - £400 for full brake refresh and full service, minus calipers, labour and spark plugs. I'll get the plugs done next year and the calipers i am looking at getting them refurbed and painted from here

Stone me! You can get new ones from many different motor factors for far less than that. Plus they'll give you a bit back if you return your old ones.

I totally understand what you are saying. But I have just spent £1500+ on everything else what's another £400 extra to get the calipers I want?

I would normally just be buying 2 cheap chinese ones for £90 (total) or refurbs for £175 off ebay. But these come with a lifetime warranty on the paint and the caliper. The quote is majority for the paint. Their refurb costs are very reasonable for the parts and warranty they offer.

£250+ VAT is for the refurb - lifetime warranty
£315+ VAT is for the paint job - lifetime warranty

They do a standard paint job for £175+ VAT but that downgrades the warranty on the paint to 1-2 years.

Yes it's a lot of money and like I say normally I would just be buying chinese ones for £90 but I have decided now to keep the car for a while and if I ever do sell it I can tell the new owner the calipers have a lifetime warranty on both parts and paint as a selling point which will show them I never ever skimped on the car and it was well looked after therefore worth paying a bit more for.

Also I managed to get £1600 alloys for £400 so I am not too fussed. I'll show pics of new alloys and the calipers in a few weeks.

Thanks I ordered this. Seemed a very reasonable price too. I was expecting a recommendation to cost £15-£30 but the £10-£12 it was very good value for money.

Will definitely be taking pics. It needs a full detail at some point in the near future though. Roof is in a right mess after sitting on drive for 2 years. I managed to give it a thorough snow foam and power was the other day but the roof will need sterilised and then re-colored and then re-proofed. I've done cleaning and re-proofing before but this is the first time I'll be colouring it myself. I already know the stuff everyone recommends so it's a job for when it's not freezing outside.

Hopefully have the calipers off tomorrow. So I'll take before and after pics. I know there won't be much interest in these at £600 but I did spend the best part of £2k on changing the head unit and amp in the car when I got it too.

Thanks man. Mechanic says he has another job booked after me today and he only had me in for fixing the shift lock so he might not have time to remove all 4 callipers so may need to wait a couple of weeks now.
