Z4 3.0 coupe

Hi

After a coupe under 90k ideally have a good budget say £8k top end maybe able to push a tiny bit more. Would like a manual and just wondered if anyone might be selling in future to let me know. Really looking forward to becoming a forum member when I finally own one as my little girl thinks they're a real sports car :D been looking recently but the prices seem to be all over shop from dealers to private sellers don't know whether it's because of the lockdown.

Thanks
Will and Bella (my little girl) :)

Thanks Mr Wilks :D which colours have you had before ?? Do they drive as good as they look ?? :driving:

They don't all sound or drive the same so worth trying before you buy & not just tootling at 30mph , often the signs of twitchy , vague or wandering only kick in 60-70-80 mph , you will know  if the faster you go the harder you grip the wheel then something isn't right & can be a pig to get to the bottom of as by now many components have been swapped out along with geo altered , wheels changed , differnet tyres etc .
Just realised ive had 5 not 4  I started off my Z affair with a black sapphire coupe (auto) , had roadsters along the way but always drawn back to the E86 & also had a silvergrey (auto) , montego blue (manual) , midnight blue (auto) & currently a titanium silver (manual) with rear quad conversion .

Welcome to the forum OP - an E86 is a great choice.

Both of mine drove as good as they looked but as mr wilks said some will be better than others. One thing everyone seems to recommend is replacing the run-flat tyres with non-runflats, although I never got around to it.

Mine were Ruby Black followed by Montego Blue.

5!!!! S”#t you’ve got my attention, why so many of the same car???

Black shouldn't be too hard to find, but there were 4 different blacks! Jet Black was non-metallic and Black Sapphire was metallic. Then there was Carbon Black which has a blue tinge in strong sunlight and Ruby Black which looks purplish on a bright day.

Both of mine had Pearl Grey leather which I liked for the contrast, although I do like the red leather as well. But Dream Red is pretty bright! If you manage to find one with amarone leather that was a BMW Individual colour so cost extra (as did Ruby Black paint) IMO it looks even better.

I'd recommend looking for a Sport model for the M-Sport seats, or an SE that had them as an option as they are very sought after - used ones sell for up to £1,000 a pair so retro-fitting them doesn't come cheap!

Anyway happy hunting.

Mr tidy have you got a personal preference on the perfect black out the 4 ?? Pearl grey leather sounds really nice as well I'll have to see if can find some pictures to compare. The colours aren't a deal breaker I did see a nice phoneix yellow one but the price hasn't moved and it seems a bit high. Just looking forward to the driving experience to be fair.

Just thought I'd update the post and my budget is now 9k if something is around. I have noticed prices seem to of crept up which is very strange as my inclination would of been they would ave slightly dropped if anything wondering if maybe waiting till winter would be the best bet as someone might be looking to off load a toy. But if anyone has any feedback or anything for sale please send me a message :)

Prices have really taken off the last few months. I struggled to sell my Blue 3.0Si at the beginning of the year. You might get a better deal towards the end of the year. I did when I bought my MC the week before Xmas as it had to be gone for Xmas, so struggling with the 3.0Si wasn't such a big deal. It just depends if you have the patience!

Anyway I just noticed I never answered your question! Of the 4 blacks I'd pick either Ruby Black or Carbon Black.

In case you haven't found one yet here is a photo of a Pearl Grey interior. There was also Champagne, but that was Nappa leather so a cost option.

Good choice of Z Will , i'm on my 4th Si E86  welcome to the forum

that's some collection dude! How come you've switched around so much? I always did love my old sterling grey roadster, would've loved my coupe in that colour.

Hi Will and Bella!

Are you still looking for a Z4 Coupe?
Been toying with the idea of selling mine, mainly due to me covering just a couple of thousand miles p. a. now.

Can drop you some more details / photos if you are, but the essentials are:

2007 (07 plate) 3.0si Sport.
Montego blue metallic
Pearl grey Oregon leather
72k miles
Bought as an approved BMW car and owned by me for the last 10 years.

Something to ponder over the Bank Holiday :)

All the best,

Paul C.

Thanks for the messages.
PM's returned.

Let's see what happens and whichever way, you're making a great choice with a Z4 coupe :D
