What are people's thoughts on high mileage Z4's? Mine has just gone up and I am worried the mileage will make it a tough sell (not that I want to get rid of it!).

Enjoy the car & forget what miles you are adding
Concentrate on keeping condition & service tiptop
Decent cars always sell no matter the miles providing current condition ,preparation , history + spec marry to the ask price

Apologies for the off topic comment - Nice Wheels Mr Wilks!

Thanks, would you say it is a fair price? I think it is but I have had no attention so far which is unusual.

Price seems fair.
Probably the cheapest on the market but it's a bad time of year for selling.

Selling a 140k car no matter what it is will always leave you with a small audience & having the cheapest of your model for sale isn't always enough to get a sale :(
Its about making sure the car ,advert & photos are the best you can achieve & if you should get someone to view then make sure its prepped to a high standard for them .
Right now id say £6800 is a tough ask for a 142K Se spec bearing in mind what you paid for the car which at the time had less miles on the clock  Admittedly you have spent where needed so i appreciate its in better order now but many buyers online are only looking at the bottom lines of miles - spec - price )
Best of luck

Thanks for the words of wisdom, I would consider selling it for less than advertised currently if that is what the market deems it to be worth.

The condition of mine is better than some of the lower mileage ones I viewed so I wouldn't view mileage as the final word on a 10yr old car.

I will see what happens in the coming days.

I wasn't for a minute implying a high mile car is to be avoided , , , far from it as i have owned a good few BMWs over 120k & know for a fact they can better some cars that have covered half the miles
More that the vast majority of buyers ( most likely non forum guys ) will simply view the info before them as spec - miles - price :?
Therefore its crucial to get decent pics , formulate the advert in a concise way that displays all relevant info ( no blurb ) & above all should you get a viewing make sure the car is in its best form

I didn't think you were, just more making a point. I think my advert is fairly decent, probably not the most concise but doesn't have too much fluff!

Wouldn't mind a coupe myself as i've had my hardtop on for a while now and haven't particularly missed the roof down action.

Only problem is a lot of very practical hatchbacks are quicker than them now. I want my next car to have at least 300bhp and more than 2 seats.

Also, I absolutely hate the fact there is virtually no steering feel whatsoever. It's just such a crap system. My puma won hands down in that department.

However delectable in steering feel your Puma may have been a bit lacking in the power output though!

If you want more than 2 seats this may not be your ideal forum, given that no Z4 has more than 2 seats!

Maybe you need to look for an E46 or E92 M3 - more than 300bhp and more than 2 seats - or you could always look for a practical hatchback and enjoy FWD scrabble out of every corner.

That puma would easily keep up with a 3.0 z4 down a B road, as would my Fiesta ST180.

Nothing wrong with my Z4. I love driving it. It is old tech though and the newer stuff can easily out perform it.

I think the E46 M3 is one of best toys in the market, for the money. With a few tasteful enhancements, I think it's absolutely perfect.

Ok its a Cat D car but 80k / decent spec Si Sport coupe for a £6500 ask at least reflects it ?
A cheap way into a decent looking E86

Looks v nice but i had a nightmare when trying to sell a CatD car in the past (and I had all the pre-repair pics so that the damage could be seen). Many people won't even bother and pricing needs to be at least 30% below fair value of a non-catD equivalent.

That said, if you had access to the pre-repair photos and understand how the car was repaired, could be good value!

Cat D maybe okay as a keeper.
Always a difficult sell and must be priced accordingly.Even then still hard to shift.

Saw this on Autotrader today.
2006 sport with 94k for £9000
A bit expensive maybe but not many red coupes about.

Ridiculously overpriced. That one used to be a forum members car as I remember the weirdly painted/wrapped rear bumper fake diffuser thing. Looks terrible.

Car looks good to me, however, way over priced for 94k miles.
