Z4 3.0 Coupe market watch

That,s a nice spec & on Se will ride well , just upsize the alloys & that would make a nice buy
I previously bought a Alfa Brera from the same dealer & found them very good

I know Mr Wilks!

Now I'm getting on a bit SE with Sport seats would have suited me really well, and unlike most SEs that one doesn't have a wooden dash!

I was tempted, but I don't really want to get onto E86 No.3 just yet!

Ooooooooo dear  can't imagine a queue of buyers for this one with that trim choice :o & not even heated

Must just be me, but I love that blue - if only the black cloth bits were black leather!

And it needs to be at least £1,000 cheaper!

I thought full leather was standard on E86s - maybe if you go away from the standard colours that changes?

But I do like something different! A year or so ago I saw an SE Coupe advertised that had 2-tone leather in black and red - thought it looked great but I wouldn't really want SE seats in any E86, however great the trim was!

This dealer must be wondering what he's done to be stuck with this ZC so long :? was closer to £10k when he kicked off & pretty sure it was traded off a forum member 6 months ago ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2007-57-BMW-Z4-3-0si-Sport-Coupe-BMW-Independent-Service-History-/172369635913?hash=item282207ea49:g:c44AAOSwU-pXvNgA

Chap i sold my E89 had viewed the car 2 hours before coming to me , he told me by comparison it looked unloved & not prepared at all well
Look beyond that if you are tempted as its at right money now to afford some tinkering
If it drives right & history stacks up try a bid , i'm almost sure a forum guy traded it for around £8500 / £9000
Get the deal done quick though , , , Coupes are on the up pricewise from here on in :D

I hate to think this may be because you have just bought one! But having an E86 it would be a bonus if you were right!

And given that you have owned more Z4s than almost anyone else maybe you get to decide!!

I am keeping a keen eye on the market at the moment as I could do with selling my z4c :( .

Hoping to help with a house purchase so needs must but I might wait until after Christmas now.

Anyone else know any details, Thinking of going for a look on saturday but its a bit of a trek.

Ive seen it up for sale for a long time as it always appeared on my routine searches of ebay, pistonheads and autotrader, I understand it was priced a fair bit higher but cant see why it has been for sale for so long.

Theres also this up for sale nearby

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2007-BMW-Z4-3-0-si-Sport-2dr-/162036199852?hash=item25ba1c31ac:g:eLcAAOSw3mpXIhVm

Could try and visit both in the same day. Bit higher mileage and not sure about the cream interior, Has never really been my thing but again bottom of the coupe prices.

The one with the champagne trim looks well presented but imo needs to be no more than £7500 with 108k on the clock & poverty spec :o
It just about has hazards :P not even MFSW & it says heated seats but they aren't

Not a fan of the interior or the cirrus trim. Heated seats could be aftermarket units. If so buttons might be on the seats.

Montego Blue with lightish leather and Cirrus trim is the best 3 litre E86 option IMHO - oh yes, that is what I've got so it must be true! Personally I much prefer Cirrus to the standard brushed aluminium finish my first Coupe had - I know, Piano Black would be better but wood would be far worse!

But £8,230 for 108K miles looks too much (mine was only a few hundred more in May this year with 78K miles, bought privately admittedly).

Anyway OP if you aren't set on colour, there are at least 3 on AutoTrader that look like a better deal to me although it also depends on where you are:-

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-search?make=BMW&model=Z4&postcode=gu470za&radius=1500&sort=default&body-type=Coupe&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=New&transmission=Manual&price-to=10000&search-target=usedcars&page=1&searchcontext=default

Good luck anyway!

Tell us all about it when you find one (and don't forget the photos)!

This car has also been for sale for quite a while.
The market does seem a bit stagnant as a previous poster has said.
It all comes down to condition, spec and price.
A car that has all 3 should sell.

What are people's thoughts on high mileage Z4's? Mine has just gone up and I am worried the mileage will make it a tough sell (not that I want to get rid of it!).

Enjoy the car & forget what miles you are adding
Concentrate on keeping condition & service tiptop
Decent cars always sell no matter the miles providing current condition ,preparation , history + spec marry to the ask price

Sound advice from a serial Z4 owner!

I've seen a few advertised with just over 100K miles for around £7,500 which doesn't look too bad, particularly if condition, servicing, etc. are kept up to standard.

I'm sure someone on here a few weeks ago was thinking of selling his Z4C with 205K miles, so 100K doesn't seem much more than run-in! (Certainly cheered me up)!

Thanks guys, it is for sale already....I am not worried about putting miles on the car so don't worry about that! I feel that mine is priced within the market so we shall see.

Growing up and buying houses sucks.... I will get another coupe though!

I'm now at the other end of the spectrum - house is finally paid for!

But I understand your pain! Bought a 2 year old Capri Injection in 1984 and had to sell it in 1985 to help fund my 1st house. :(

Then 2 years later after a couple of pay rises and working all the hours available I managed to buy another Capri Injection! (Unfinished business).

Just think of it as a blip!

And good luck with the house. You are doing well to be able to buy one these days!
