Z4 Roadster 3.0 SE - Sterling Grey - 51.5K

Had a great time in the car and it really turns heads, owned for a year, but fancy a change and upgrading to a Z4M.

Great Specification.

Has been looked after well by me, stored permanently in a garage, washed pretty much after every drive, polished far too much, and clayed regularly I can't remember a time I drove it in the wet, lol. I also regularly clean and prepare the roof properly, so it's looking good

There is a small mark on the rear and a couple of minor scratches, as well as a few minorstone chips on front skirt, but no more than any other car, and not really noticeable It gets some nice comments and admiring glances

Plus Original, means I have the originals, you can have as well. The Z4 Exhaust, is perfect, I just changed it so you could hear the sound of the straight 6 roar

I was tempted to sell my 2003 Z4 3.0 litre recently, I paid £10.5K back in March for it. I recon to sell it now i would get £8K in a private sale, I am still in two minds about it. i didnt mind the high price for the car at the time as it only had one owner and a full service history, I have spent a fair amount of money on it to get it running perfect which it is now.

I am still thinking about it.

Things i have had done since getting it:

New ignition coils
Spark Plugs
Disa valve
New Vanos Oil seals
Oil change + Filter
New Airfilter
Dealer performed Software update

He is right - I am indeed looking for one .... Lincolnshire is a long way to go tho (I'm near Bath, google reckons 4.5 hours each way), probably won't be looking that far afield, may do in a month or two if i haven't found something nearer.

Thanks for the thought. It would indeed be perfect except for the price, 12k for a 04 is a complete no no for me especially with only 5k to inspection 2.

I would pay 10k for it but that's my limit in this current market.

hells bells - 10k fully loaded 53 3.0 from BMW? Just doing a national check on bmw they have quite a few fully loaded 53/54 3.0 but all at 12k - 13k.

I'd be gutted to think mine was only worth 8k now

Might be interested, but I bought my car for 13,500 1 year ago, and in that time, the modifications are about £1,500 (with significant investment in refurbed wheels £450, exhaust, £600). Knocking my car down to £10K and paying you an additional £8 isn't acceptable. That's a massive drop. You would have come down as well, and set your expectations differently, if I was going to part exchange with some additional cash. As you mention, in this climate.

I will check the Inspection 2 as well, as it might be more than 5K miles to be honest.

Mmm prices of Z4,

Hells bells it is a shocking time of year I was looking the other day!!! was getting the itch but just looked around and remembered I had the best car for the money around, there nothing else that comes close.

The truth is there will always be desperate sellers due to circumstances such as debt, redundancy etc, couple that with a credit crunch it only take a few knocking around for 8-9k then suddenly that’s all they are worth!, the truth is its the time to buy not sell, I would not even consider selling a car of this nature until April/May. Remember there is a VAT raise in Jan so used cars will creep up again for the private seller as the main stellers will need to charge more on used and new, just my 2 pennies worth!

Hold out this is the worst time of year to sell a convertible, dark , wet, need I say more!!

Indeed, was thinking that too. Well my insurance runs out next week, so pondering what to do lol

My mate has also seen the light and just bought a black Z4 3.0 so im tempted to keep mine for the summer, do the annual les mans trip in june and sell it afterwards. Pit he couldnt have bought mine, bugger he fanced black and not grey.
