Z4 28I 2013 Spares or repair?

Hi there,
We bought a stunning white 2013 Z4 a couple of years ago.
Red leather, manual, 90k with FSH.
6 months ago the timing chain slipped off the guide.
2.5k later, she was back ready for the summer.
3 months later, just yesterday an engine problem started believed to be the camshaft bearing. This is a problem.
Oil light, engine management light flashing and a horrid knocking sound happened and I limped it home, after a 120 mile drive where it felt fine.
New tyres on the back, gear box, suspension all tight.
Non sat nav. Stunning car.

What's it worth please and is anyone interested in buying it?
Location in Worcester.

Thanks

Thanks Raymond. Open to offers from people. We are very gutted, we just don't have the space, time or facilities to fix it here.

I’d be going back to whoever you paid £2.5k in the first instance, seems incredibly unlikely that’s it’s not related to the original issue.

Sorry to hear this OP,

Sounds like the chain guide could have broken down and gone into the oil pick up and starved the engine of oil and now it’s potentially spun a bearing / ruined the crank.

It maybe worth taking it to a well respected specialist to have it looked at / repaired and the sell it fully working?

You could also source another engine to drop in which could be a bit cheaper.

Who did the original work?

Did they remove the sump and clear the oil pick up? It could be a coincidence all of this but it’s 100% worth getting someone to tell you what’s up with it before making a decision to sell at a reduced price etc,

Good luck with everything
